Awful team selection, especially in midfield. Coutinho is rubbish in away games. Rossiter would be better than Allen - how many times was he brushed off the ball today? Gerrard & Henderson are just functional at best - neither offer much in the way of pressing or goal threat.

We'll most likely lose the next two games too. Looks like Brendan is toast.

Neither team were good, they just have better forwards and a far superior GK. Was highlighted before the game by Neville and turns out he was spot on.

United have been playing average and getting results, the same thing happened today. We have no identity or balance in our side. Square pegs in round holes, under performing players seemingly undroppable, players that come in and play well get dropped & formations that the players look lost in.

      It's a mess.

        Created plenty, scored **** all.

Remember Kennys final season when we couldn't score? Woodwork hit 46 times or something daft. When we reached two cup finals no less. We were right to fire him then IMO. But if I can vindicate a club legend getting the bullet for that,I can't see how Rodgers gets a stay of execution.

If we could line up a quality replacement, he'd be gone IMO. As it happens, he'll get a while longer and has to hope Danny Sturridge becomes the reincarnation of Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer combined with a body made of steel to avoid injury.
          Forwards.......

Appreciate the praise De Gea gets but every ****ing shot was straight at him. More than enough chances to win that game even with conceding 3 ourselves.

maybe they are straight at him but he is still making them and more often than not if he doesn't keep hold of the ball they go away from the danger zone.
                who's arsed?

I thought Kenny should have got another season at least and was disappointed when he was fired. The League Cup that year is still the only trophy we've won since the FA Cup in 2006.

Our league form might have been terrible but he had a knack of winning silverware and I'm sure we would have improved in 2012-13 in the league with him at the helm

True enough, but he is a sensational GK.

He also stood up well, good positioning and made the striker make the first move. Excellent display by a keeper at the top of his game. Should've been beaten three times mind as on three occasions we could've made a pass for an open goal. But there you go.

And that's when they'll sign Victor Valdes, a goalkeeper we should've snapped up. He's training with Man Utd, yet we offered him a short trial (which he turned down). We're the ones needing a goalkeeper.

Be interesting to see if De Gea signs a new contract.

I think that arrangement has come to an end with no contract signed.

He left to go back to Barcelona last weekend, and has continued training with them. Most thought the arrangement had come to an end, but his return to Man Utd training this week was gutting. A lot of people remember him pre-Guardiola, but he was exceptional for so many years after that.
