Unfortunately lacking a clinical striker or even moderate striker has been a massive issue for us. Don't think Sturridge be back anytime soon either.

Markovic is turning into some player isn't he. Looks good & a full 90 minutes will come soon enough.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We should have won that match but credit to the team for fighting back.

We definitely need a quality striker and a more cultured defender for the right side.

Rodgers should get credit for starting to turn it around but absolutely admonished for the state of the defence.

Feels like a win. Last minute goal may be what kicks our season off with an easy run of games.
            One tit for another.

Arsenal were shocking today, and they managed to get something
yeah was infuriating how many of those cross field rakers went astray

Markovic and Coutinho were excellent though the latter needs to do more on some of them shots. That game summed Skrtel up, pathetic on two goals for the opposition but gets a great header for us at the other, how can he not even jump in one penalty area yet do that in the other? Bizarre.

Enjoyed the formation, especially how it got Markovic involved, Bournemouth and Arsenal really struggled to cope with him.
coutinho needs to stay behind every day after training and work on his shooting,it is woeful for a player with his skill.
                who's arsed?

No striker is a massive issue for us. Hope we bomb Ballotelli out the door in jan and get someone in. I'd even take Torres over Balloteli.

Plenty of positives out of that for me. Hurry back Studge.
                    Probably would have won 5-4

We did play well Bob. even with 10 men I was so confident that we'd score. Pleased for Skrtel as he was at fault for the first

I want to bring up Borini. Before anybody starts slating him, he came on and looked dangerous. Yes he got a stupid booking but his second yellow most of our team would have got. He showed more passion and danger in the small time he was on than Ballotelli has all season.
He did show more passion and certainly danger but would have preferred him either not to whinge at not getting the throw in or keep his feet below his head.
                        Really?

We did played well. Good possession, control and movement.

Toure, Skrtel and Sakho (and Jones) were comfortable for 95% of the game - and (on the whole) they played well. But they still suffer from lapses in concentration.
                          Another MASSIVE game

We need to whip the ball into the area behind the defence quicker or lay it off into the newly created space. We had opportunities to do both with players waiting!

Yeah he had loads of chances today & fluffed his lines too many times.
