The majority of our possession was in our own half, Arsenal let our defenders have the ball knowing full well they can't hurt them with it.
Majority of possession in own half but still managed 27 shots? Must have been long shots
    Another MASSIVE game

It looks crap for a club of our size, I'm sure he'll get lambasted as looking for excuses but mates who go all the time have been saying it for weeks. I noticed it most v Basel, perhaps because of the light but it looked shocking.

It is awful, it's a mess mate.

Man Utd have done this for years (and last year apart) it has served them well.

It makes you wonder what Rodgers was thinking:
          1. A sicknote striker
          2. 68 year old Southampton striker
          3. Balotelli (FFS)
          4. Surplus to requirements Borini.

Bold, brave and positive performance today. As much as I slated Coutinho last week he showed the appetite and quality expected so all credit to him. Markovic is going to be a real star isn't he?

Lallana needs to start every game he's fit one of the few that does have a genuine eye for goal and can play in such tight situations

+ Sakho lot better than Lovren
+ Jones better distributor than Mig
                  + Coutinho better than recently
+ Markovic I thought was excellent in the first half
+ Definite signs that we're coming back to our old self, attacking wise

                  - Skrtel didn't cover himself with glory for their first
                  - Borini was stupid
                  - Still looked toothless

We'll be awesome once Sturridge is back. Or with Torres...

They were though weren't they, matchstick legged Coutinho,Sterling and Lallana shooting barely makes an impression -it was like they were kicking a beach ball.

Can't wait to see Sterling on the left and Origi up front.

Fantastic performance against a side through to the last 16 of the CL on a regular basis. We outplayed them and should've scored a hatful. Very pleased with the past week, despite the poor results when taking into consideration how the seasons gone.

                        Burnley etc beware.
                        Forwards.......

Defo better and it was much like last season but without the cutting edge. I hope we dump lovren in jan and cut our loses.

Just lacked a striker today, as was case against United. Really starting to enjoy watching us play again, Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana and Markovic are a joy to watch when we play this way, just need Sturridge back and we'll be goals galore again. The 3-4-3 is here to stay, could be this season's diamond.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Plenty of positives out of that for me. Hurry back Studge.

Markovic and Coutinho were excellent though the latter needs to do more on some of them shots. That game summed Skrtel up, pathetic on two goals for the opposition but gets a great header for us at the other, how can he not even jump in one penalty area yet do that in the other? Bizarre.

Enjoyed the formation, especially how it got Markovic involved, Bournemouth and Arsenal really struggled to cope with him.
                                All of this.
