When you pay £110 to watch a game and you're distracted by dickheads messing about with phones, selfie sticks and not getting behind the team to support them (which is supposed to contribute to the home advantage) then I think it's only natural you're going to get a bit annoyed.

To put it another way, you don't sit watching a film at the cinema with your phone out, do you? It's distracting. How do you know what's going on?

It's not something I'd do personally, but some people travel for thousands of miles to get to Anfield, and if that's what they want to do, given what absolutely tiny impact it has, I think it's probably ok

Just as well there was no top league in England before the PL otherwise they might have had to add that Liverpool FC were once in 12th place on Xmas day but still managed to come back and win the league.


Not saying that anything of the sort is nailed on for this season, but with more than half a season to go a lot of ground could be made up. Top four is still not out of reach.

Well, its pretty simple really. I'm sat at pitch level and the people taking the selfies were right in my eye line of what is going on on the pitch, which is what said people have paid thousands of quid to watch (and I've paid over £100 to see as well).
