Burnley v LFC Build up thread. 3pm Boxing Day

Are we expecting the same 343 set up for this that has worked reasonably well for us of late?

I'd probably rest Gerrard for this & play Can but otherwise the same side that played Arsenal off the park please Brendan.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Difficult period this. Starting to get a settled side & formation, but players will have to be rested. Need to manage that without upsetting the team too much.

Rodgers will have to start subbing players off when the game is won as early as possible - if we are able to.

I'd be tempted to bench Stevie & bring him on if needs be.
    Forwards.......

He's never going to rest Gerrard and play Can, every time this is said on here it never happens.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Absolutely no need to change anything, the players are getting used to the 3-4-3 and playing attacking football again. Same formation and intensity we showed the last 2 games and I can't see anything but a win here.

Calamity if we don't win this. 9 points from these festive games is a must.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Ironically now he's finally found a place for Gerrard we can do with him pinging those balls into Sterling, Hendo and Lallana. Would rest Stevie after 60 mins though but we know that's not going to happen either.

Looking forward to this game now we've become more fluid. Maximum points all the way through please.

Gerrard will need a rest in this period and with these 3 games there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to do this.

Most of my family are Burnley supporters so I am preying we win this or it'll be another 5 years of being reminded of it, just like last time in the FA cup.

If ever we needed a win, its this game. For the purely selfish reason that I spend boxing day with the lads, of which 100% of them are Burnley fans.

                      Good traditional football club Burnley.

Founder member of the football league in 1888 like other Lancastrian clubs Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers

Hopefully we beat them home and away this season... and they somehow avoid the drop and stay in the Premier League

tell them all that we are watching danny ings and he will throw his shirt into the crowd at the end of the game cos hes coming to LFC. that'll shut them up.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I agree. Leave him on the bench & only use him if need be.
