Me too - Can pushing into midfield with Lucas and Henderson looks solid.

I like Manquilo and Moreno. They are raw but also exciting. Hendo in midfield also makes sense. Can't wait for Sturridge to return - he will love playing in that side.
I don't think Can is in midfield, he's the right sided CB of a 3 with Moreno and Manquillo as wing backs.

      Swansea, Leicester, Villa, Sunderland.

Twelve points from these four games would be lovely.

I think you are right. However, with two proper fullbacks, the team could easily change from a 3-7-0 to a 4-3-3.

Big game tomorrow - hope we f'cking win. It will make a perfect

Win tomorrow and it's 5 points off 4th and would at least leave us with a chance in the second half of the season to make the top 4. Anyone gets on a run of 4 wins or so on the trot will be pushing for the top 4.

I do like the look of that side would be better with Sturridge up top of course but apart from that looks a decent attacking side

Not enough midfielder in that side. Ha!

Glad we've got some proper full backs playing, but I wish Hendo wasn't, he's been ****e this season. He's another technically bereft English player whose main skill seems to be being able to run about lots. Turning circle of a barge too.

We can go 5 points behind 4th if we win tomorrow, with half a season to go.

              Looks a lot more doable.

By the Wimbledon game I'm assuming our back three will be Gerrard, Can and Suso (Johnson's injury robs us all of jokes referencing him not being a real defender).

Anytime we've had a chance to make things look rosier this season we've usually ballsed it up so don't go counting those chickens just yet.

Could also be a back 4 with Can and Lucas holding. Flexible line up

Personally I wound have liked to have seen Markovic instead of Coutinho in the centre, rumours that Sterling has a bug so no guarantee he'll play

Swansea have 5 points from their last 6 away games, though they won their last one. They're miles better at home. We should have enough to win this, though of course it's a short trip for them and they'll be bang up for this one. You just feel there's a lot of players in that side who will feel they have a point to prove against us.

We desperately need to win to try and kick on in the league. Draw isn't good enough, a defeat is unthinkable. The table is starting to look better and the fixture list is looking promising. We were dealt a great hand for this busy period and we have to make the most of it.

Swansea will have runners in behind so Moreno & Manquillo will need to be alert and know when to go & stay. We can't complain about the pitch either as they pass on the deck like we do. Can has a tough test as he'll be dealing with strength in a Bony and speed on the wings. Those three at the back should easily deal with Bony though.

The lineup looks fine apart from Martin Skrtel and Jordan Henderson. Neither deserve to start.

Not quite as bad as CraigH's stunt of opening his own Happy birthday thread but still shameless.
