The first half of this season hasn't been poor because of the new signings, it was squarely on Rodgers tactical stubbornness which he only decided to alter once we were out of the Champions League 
We brought 9 players in during the summer and 6 are solid additions who should be good Liverpool players for years to come.
Lovren, Lambert and Balotelli was where we fell down imo although I understand why Lambert was brought in (for the type of game where we can't break packed defences down like Chelsea at Anfield last season).
If we're going to have a fourth striker for those situations I'd prefer a player who's younger, faster, taller and better in the air.
Of these three we should get most of our money back when we sell two of them. The odd one out is Lovren who we'll probably take a big loss on if we decide to get rid of him
