Are we allowed any sort of decision against these? Go back a decade and the Tiago handball or Malouda fouling Finnan and Chelsea getting a pen for it not long after. To Oscars leg break attempt on Lucas last season, the assault on Suarez in the area. It's absolutely relentless.

Tough game. This is a proper big game and IMO is showing that this LFC team is back on track.

Sadly, we are not quite there yet. Chelsea just don't make mistakes and they defend like lions. We have to be ultra intricate and perfect around the box and that is extremely difficult to do. You know that if roles were reversed and we were trying to build a red wall, we'd just cave in.

But personally, I've found that half to be very encouraging. Remember, despite being so great last year, we still couldn't beat what was a far inferior Chelsea team last season. Two defeats out of two then.

Yeah but they were also right with the observation before - they're targeting him as the weak link and running at him with pace with Hazard and Fabregas. Even the best can struggle against these.

If we had a decent senior defender in the middle they'd be able to help him out a bit, but Skrtel's not that type and is probably doing right to concentrate on his own game given his own weaknesses.

Annoying as it was similar to the Chelsea winner earlier this season. Can tried to get too tight on Cesc. Stand him up and he goes nowhere. Oscar skipped past someone same way earlier this season.
