Gutted man,

We have really turned a corner... SKrtel has been a ****ing outstanding, Lucas immense., Coutinho is a shot away from being world class. We are just missing a striker... desperately.

One negative i will say is that Rodgers made the wrong subs. Those subs played into Chelsea's hands. Easy to mark and no movement.

Wouldn't you know Chelsea ****ed us again. Horrible fans and club but they'll probably go on and win the double.

We've got to try and achieve that level for the rest of the season, no more excuses.

Great effort, deserved to go through by 2 or 3 goals on the balance of the tie but wasnt to be. If we find that level in the Europa or FA Cup we win at least one, theres no doubt about that.

Dont think it's really the place to be slagging players off after that but some wont be able to help themselves, Can was ****, Sakho was ****, Henderson was ****, Glen was ****, Balo was **** etc etc but the best team in the country could only scrape by us in ET.

Hope you're right, i'm not yet convinced, BR is a good manager imo, just not sure he's a lucky one, and to win trophies i think you have to be lucky as well as good at your job in games like this one and finals.

He's got us into great positions, but when the finishing line is in touching distance, we just haven't had the rub imo.

How many finals have Maureen sides reached by not being the best team in the semis, and by it not being down to his 'tactical genius' ? Plenty i reckon.

We badly missed a striker over the two legs, Balotelli and Lambert are pretty pointless in our style of football. We seem to be putting all our eggs in the Sturridge basket.

Again I thought it was a good performance, but we can't score goals.

This team has no goals in it, Sterling is our biggest threat and despite his immense talent he is not a striker, Balotelli and Lambert are no better, Borini is the best option we have at the moment IMO. We need Sturridge back and someone to come in this window.

Gutted.mgave it everything over the two legs. Courtios is ridiculously good.

Personally felt Chelsea were the better team in the end....we just seem to lack something,,,a little bit of extra pace, power, energy about of an edge if that makes sense.

Overall thought mignolet was much better despite his horrendous kicking. The back three of can sakho and skrtel did well and losing sakho was a bit of blow. Moreno did well giving us some width and got foward well...thought Markovic had a bit of stinker, sterling had a great game condsidering how isolated he was.

We are so desperate for a proper striker though

Just in from the pub. Pissed up. Haven't read anything on here yet. But proud of that performance. We are back. We went toe to toe with them over two legs and were the better team. We've had to stick a kid up front who isn't a striker - yes because we ****ed up and bought two **** strikers in the summer - but Rodgers is making a hell of a fist of this of late. Proud of the boys, a great effort, same as usual in terms of conceding - another **** goal from a set piece. But overall I'm proud of the team and feel confident about where we're going.

The better team over 2 legs against the league leaders. Proud of the lads, should've won both ties really but it wasn't to be. Some excellent performances all round and Mignolet looks like a real keeper again.

Brendan was tactically excellent for 3 quarters of the 2 legs until he decided to bring on Mario. The system just stopped working then and I hope he realises it and doesn't gamble again. Mario didn't do what was required, hold the ball up, bring the other players into play.

Onwards and upwards now with Studge back. If we play like we've playing of late for the rest season, we'll finish strong, top 4 and silverware.

Just want to say something about Coutinho. It's no secret on here that I love the kid, big time, but his little turns away from their centre mids tonight were a ****ing joy to watch. Went down the pub didn't I, a pub about a mile and a half from OT, and with every spin away and glorious turn I was on my feet whooping like a mother****er. The guy is a genius.
