I still don't know how you can live in Manchester.

****ing hell I was coming on here to vent madly about Quinn and state something very very similar. What the ****. Neville and Carragher are less biased towards their own teams than Quinn is against us. It is un****ing believable what bull**** he was spouting during that match. Presume he's on the end of a team-wide bukkake fest from Chelsea now, no doubt while bending over for Mourinho and the rest of the coaching staff. What a ****ing ****.

Brendan was tactically excellent for 3 quarters of the 2 legs until he decided to bring on Mario. The system just stopped working then and I hope he realises it and doesn't gamble again. Mario didn't do what was required, hold the ball up, bring the other players into play.

Onwards and upwards now with Studge back. If we play like we've playing of late for the rest season, we'll finish strong, top 4 and silverware.

          The Reds go marching on.
I reckon Brendan will be gutted he didn't bring on lallana. Mario probably did something in training on Sunday after the mini kick up the arse so he might have thought he was motivated. For me, lallana was the man to bring on....with mario when lambert came on if needed.....

Gutted but hope we can keep the form going......the system seems to suit the defense and the midfield is solid as well. Lucas and Henderson is great. When Sturridge comes back it will be interesting to see if Brendan changes the system. I suspect not but sterling will drop deeper and maybe to the left with probably Gerrard dropping out.....

I hope Origi turns out to be good because we need strikers right now

Coutinho has been amazing lately, can't wait for him to start linking up with Sturridge again.

I hate the ****in asshole since Saipan to be honest but as a pundit he is a ****in plonker. He makes no ****in sense have the time. He referred to Chelsea as Celtic at one stage....the gimp....

Also, in ireland his pr goes into overdrive about all the charity work he does. Like he is a ****in alter boy or something.....the ******.

I thought we played well but once again our decisions in the final third were poor.

A bit of a player analysis:

Mig - Did great tonight. Made some important saves, particularly the Costa tackle. His kicking was a bit off at times but seems to have gotten slightly better.

Can - Tackled well at times but some of Chelsea's attacking players got on the wrong side of him on quite a few occasions. He is great at playing out and the couple of runs he makes are powerful.

Skrtel - Looks to be playing well at the moment and suits the 3 at the back.

Sakho - Defensively he's been good. Playing the ball out he's good most of the time then has a wobble that could be very costly in almost every game.

Markovic - I think he is coming along well. He's a good dribbler, passer and mover but tonight he was quite poor defensively. He kept leaving Can exposed and switched off quite a few times so if Rodgers sees him as WB long term he needs to improve his defensive awareness.

Moreno - Did well offensively and defensively.

Lucas - Fantastic as usual by offering protection to the back 3. After his yellow he had to be careful, but he had to try and make the challenge on Oscar after Sakho giving it away at the back.

Henderson - His energy is unreal, he just keeps going and going. I don't like him at WB but he did a good job there and was rarely beaten.

Gerrard - Did better than recently but his decision making at times was poor. No need to make almost impossible passes.

Coutinho - He was kept relatively quiet but when he had the ball he looked dangerous. Chelski's setup was annoyingly good in terms of stopping balls in behind that Sterling could latch on to.

Sterling - Looked dangerous throughout, but had to pick up the ball deep on many occasions and had to try to take on 3 defenders so he was going to struggle to create something. He made a few poor decisions but hopefully with age and experience he'll improve that side.

*Ballotelli - He actually did ok in terms of holding the ball up, linking play etc but once again his decision making at times is insane. I can't comprehend why, for example, he would try to chip the keeper from 20 yards out from a tight angle instead of driving into the box and passing/shooting from a better position. It's as if he sees his name in the papers and wants it to be for scoring a wonder goal.

the subs were a mistake. Lallana should have been on no doubts. With the counter attacking football we were playing, bringing on Balo and Lambert completely negated that.

He is and he's 22, he will become world class. If he doesn't I'll give up the game. Talent like his is rare, really ****ing rare.

Whoever at the club thought Ballotelli was an adequate replacement for Suarez should be sacked. We've gone from the most potent strikers in the league to the most impotent. We need a striker in this month so FSG need to pull their fingers out.

It's all well and good saying "Wait until Sturridge is back" but we shouldn't have been in this position in the first place. Everyone at the club knew he was injury prone.

I'm absolutely gutted but proud of that display. Rodgers has turned it around and fair play. FSG need to help him out.

Have to mention Hazard. Yes he's a diving cheat but what a ****ing player. He gave Henderson & Can a torrid time. In the top 5 players in the world IMO.
