You actually have to feel for the match officials as catching all of the incidents in a game must be nigh on impossible
Yeah very tough night for the ref alright.

Which is alright to be fair, one of the reasons i love watching atletico madrid is because of their street smarts. It's him i hate with a passion, and chelsea. All the animosity i felt towards them during rafa's time with us came back last nightOriginally posted by RichC View PostIt's the Mourinho way - always coached sides it seems to be looking for an advantage be it taking a dive or getting a sly foul in.

I guess that he will only be punished once, but I would like both incidents to be punished separatelyOriginally posted by Scratch View PostI wonder what happens if the referee deems both incidents red card worthy? Does it become a 3 match ban for each, or would only the first count as it would have nullified the second?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Just reading through the Chelsea/Mourinho thread in gen. football, the point about Can being up for it for his team-mates is a good one. Probably needs to control it though even though he seems measured and wants to just be a presence. Another point in relation to Can is that I thought last night he showed signs that he would be an absolutely brilliant midfielder. He has the great DM ability to close players off and send them either away from our goal or aimlessly across our defence. He did it loads last night, and despite being given a tough time by Hazard, when he's not turned, he's excellent. Hazard ****s everyone up anyway. He's brilliant and becoming more and more of a slimy, devious Chelsea/Mourinho cunt with every passing day. Can also has the ability to burst forward and keep the ball and progress attacks. Perect potential midfielder for me.
I always miss Xabi when we play Chelsea. Win, lose or draw, Xabi was inspirational at the physical side of playing those cunts and was brilliant at putting in tackles that were good enough to win the ball and dirty enough to make sure that he ****in poleaxed whatever Chelsea ****** he as tackling at the same time. Xabi
We're really close, on the basis of last night. We just need to match our obvious disgust at Chelsea as a team with the players who can punish them both physically and with results. Costa is sewer rat. I wish nothing except misfortune on him. He's like the physical manifestation of Mourinho's soul on the pitch.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

you say this as if English football is so ****in pure to begin with.....Originally posted by Chris View PostHe's one of the most repulsive men in sporting history. A disease that English football needs rid of.
I think the refereeing in this country is a disgrace. Bordering on downright corruption. Not each ref taking a bung or anything (although i wouldnt be surprised) but from the top down. The best example I have was from a few years ago when Man City beat United 6-1. Clattenburg was the referee. Fergie slated him (not his team!) and basically said he wasn't capable of refereeing a big game like that. It took 10 months before Clattenburg got another Man United game. And which game did he get? Chelsea away......the game where Torres got sent off for diving even though he was chopped, Chelsea scored a perfectly good goal and had is disallowed....and united got a blatant offside goal given..... if that was in Italy or France then we would all laugh at how corrupt it was.
Getting back to Mourinho.....yes he is a prick. But there are many others as well......... and if Mourinho was our boss, then the Kop would probably sing his name. Some will come on saying "i don't want that prick anywhere near LFC" but look at the United fans goading Mourinho at the start of last season about how Moyes was "the chosen one" - they'd all ****in love if Mourinho had taken them over.............
