Wouldn't start Ibe just yet, especially in a derby.

I wouldn't say there's much to chose between him and Markovic in that sense. Ibe has more idea of what its all about and what he's in for. The lad needs games and Markovic has played a lot lately. Wondering why we brought him back if I'm honest.

Markovic has shown that defensively he can do a job and be disciplined - admittedly having not seen him play RWB, I can't see Ibe tracking back and putting as much of a shift in; that would give Baines license to get forward which you need to prevent as much as possible - his delivery is up there with the best in the league.

Load of games to be played including the dreaded Thursday/Sunday plus we are bound to pick up injuries.

I also think we expected one of Borini/Mario/Lambert to go in the window.

I can see old heads starting in this derby such as Johnson, Lucas, Gerrard & maybe Lambert as they all know about the hustle & bustle of a merseyside Derby at GOODISON as seems to be a bit more ferocious than at Anfield lately.
Let the old heads get the team settled then let the youngsters win it for us?

It really is amazing the hex we've had over them. Every one of our strikers has had at least "a moment" v Everton - scoring a big goal or whatever. Even the **** ones. Carroll at the Gwladys St end, Carroll at Wembley, Crouch at the Gwladys, Suarez, Torres.......those pics of the bitters behind that goal, raging. Haha. Gerrard's scored like hundreds of goals against them. We've got an incredible amount of ammo to chuck at them. It's all too good to be true - one of these days we're gonna get sucker punched and they'll have their five minutes in the sun, but I fancy us again tomorrow.
