Thanjk you.

You realise the irony of questioning, in a thread, the fact that someone is giving their opinion in that same thread?
Everybody can comment. People are doing. Just so happens that you've chosen to pass comment on the people that are reacting negatively to the content
I've watched it many times since, it really was **** all. It's not like Balotelli wrenched the ball away from him, he walked up, put his hands out to get it and Henderson let him do it. We've seen how Henderson can stand up for himself of late, so what could be construed as being 'soft' IMO, wasn't. Balotelli scored, so it was the right decision
I personally don't understand the derision at the thread and its content. If we can't comment on this then what's the point? We could clearly see certain players were unhappy. We know most footballers have ego's the size of small planets. Gerrard poured fuel on the situation where it would have been best to say nothing. He isn't a cunt now, in the past or in the future.
Its the internet, its a football discussion, its how it works. Everybody posting is happy to do so. Why should anyone else have a problem with this?
By Sunday, it will all be forgotten. But as it was only last night, its fresh and current.
Oh come on Bobbler.
You're completely right that it's a forum and people are within their rights to over analyse this to the n billionth degree, based on the flimsiest of evidence (something happened in the heat of a tense game).
And so it's only right that those of us who find it abjectly OTT and ridiculous to point that out too. And to find amusement where there is amusement.

Brendan Rodgers says Mario Balotelli was Liverpool’s nominated penalty taker once he he was on the field last night.
He's not limited. He brings drive & energy to the team, as well as having the most assists in the team. You should also watch him closely, he has the best instant control off anyone in the team. He gets the ball blasted at him from all heights and he controls it instantly 99% of the time. Not even Coutinho or Sterling are better in that regards.
He's also getting better at forcing the play, or putting us back on the front foot. Clearly, what lets him down in a big way is his shooting. Hiś energy gets him in good positions, hence the amount of assists tbh, but he needs to have far more goals to his name. If he can add that he'll be in the team for years to come.

Liverpool boss clarifies Mario Balotelli penalty: Henderson’s responsibility to decide who takes it
Rodgers was asked about the incident and for clarification over who should have taken the spot kick.
The boss explained that Jordan Henderson was the designated penalty taker for that game, but once Mario Balotelli arrived on the pitch as a substitute, usually he or Steven Gerrard would be the taker if they are playing. Therefore, Henderson took the responsibility to give Mario the kick.
Rodgers said: “If you’re vice captain and the captain comes on pitch you give them the armband, it’s a similar thing [with the penalty].”
Earlier Rodgers said there was a lot of drama over it and a lot more made of it than it actually was.
He clarified: “Of the players who were initially on the pitch, Jordan was the penalty taker. But when Mario or Gerrard are on, they usually take them.”
“If Jordan, Steven and Mario are on the pitch at the same time then we have Steven and Mario as penalty takers.”
He did, however, admit that he didn’t like the etiquette of seeing four or five players around the ball deciding who is taking the penalty.
“It’s the responsibility of Jordan, if he feels (Mario) can take penalty.”

I hope people can now get off Mario's dick.
Well then Rodgers clearly kept it to himself.
Sackings are all that's gonna sort this out.

The most depressing thing about all this is that the press are making almost as much of this as they have of the racist Chelsea fans. So 'man takes bag of wind from another man and kicks it into net' is suddenly as important as 'racist scum kick man off train and chant about how racist they are'.
I'm going to lie down in a darkened room until it all goes away.

The "racist scum" didn't kick a man off a train. They stopped him getting on the train.
