Love these games. Road our luck and worked hard. Fantastic win, 3 points off third, who would've thought? Clean sheet too, things are looking up. Huge fixtures coming up this week, great way to set the tone.

A huge win. Not the prettiest performance but job done. Happy with that.

Massive win at a ground that we've struggled at in recent seasons. We cashed in a few refereeing credit chips today though.

They'll take points from alot of teams there this season.... great result!

Lot of haters on the bbc live update thing. We did a thoroughly professional job on a very good team who have a superb home record. We kept working despite some nervy moments. Mig could've been sent off but he wasn't. We both could've had pens. Blame the red. Lovren doing his mad moments really doesn't help us though. Kolo back and Can the man back to more comfy right side next match if Sakho is still out.

Three more points than Arsensl got there and two more than Chelsea.

A clean sheet and a win in a must-win game. Great stuff.

We were made to work hard for it and the way Southampton pushed on as they knew we didn't have the long, high ball in us was impressive. What was more impressive was our shape. It was touch and go at times, but we are getting so much better in possession and our ability to break in numbers is superb.

When it clicks we're going to school someone.

Southampton are a very good side, their shape is incredibly difficult to play against.

The conditions made it harder and they dealt with them better, I think the 60/40 possession shows that but we showed great character, Allen was much improved in the 2nd half and is a great example of our performance.

We definitely road our luck, but in the end it turned from a disjointed, disconnected performance into a professional one. Moreno coming on helped no end.

I felt a bit sorry for Marcovic, it was always a mismatch against Clyne! I'd definitely have Clyne in our team though.

Very happy to see Ibe getting the credit he deserves from Sky, Henry pointing it our initially.

@Foresterbloke.. Clyne would be great for us and this system, Johnson out and him in gives us so many options. Markovic works tirelessly and he played in a much more advanced role than Moreno, no shame in coming off for tactical reasons.

One of those days when all that matters is the win.

I can't wait to play the scum and overtake them, if we haven't done so beforehand!
