    v Arsenal (A): Post Match

That top four now, are the teams that will make up the top four come the end of the season.

Fight for fifth and the increased prize money along with the FA Cup.

The season was over when we lost to united and this result was entirely predictable, so not hit me too bad.

I hope Rodgers is sacked at the end of the season.

Poor performance, didn't start well and although we weathered the initial storm we don't have enough players that can make and take chances - a really key point was that terrible Markovic ball when clean through - really piss poor.

Less said about Toure the better, and he had to have had a shocker if I'm pining for Lovren to be in the team...

Just don't understand the thinking of shunting Henderson out wide either - our best midfielder, probably our most consistent player and we're playing him out there?! Such a waste and really weakens our midfield. Bad call, Brendan.

Only Sterling and Mignolet can hold their heads up after that performance IMO.

Just have to try & win all our games now & see where it takes us. Last week we looked odds on to finish in the top 4, now it looks a write off. But it only takes a couple of results to turn things on their head so we have to keep going. But unfortunately, we can't make any more slip ups and so it looks very difficult.

Again, good character by the lads to keep going, but it all ended in a crazy eight minute spell, the sort of which we were king of last season.
          Forwards.......

I think coming fifth and not winning the cup will see Rodgers get at least another season.

Think he has shown enough since becoming manager to warrant another season.

I think the fact he just signed a long term contract is saving him to be honest. Kenny got jibbed for a poor league campaign, even though we won the League cup and got to the FA Cup final.

Unfortunately, the best players in the world aren't interested in FA Cup wins.. it's about playing on the main stage, and that's the Champions League.

                  Let the scapegoating commence!

Just to be clear again though, Rodgers will not be getting the sack at the end of the season and nor should he.

He'll be gone in the summer IMO and rightly so. He's the manager and the buck stops with him. He has spent a shed load of money and we have regressed.

I'm pretty sure you're going to be disappointed.

I think he should get one more season. It might be expensive to fire him one year into a new contract as well

Even slipping Jimmy couldn't save us.
