Thanjk you.

It's only a small thing but I don't understand why we didn't bring Brannigan on for the last 10 minutes once the red card had happened or at the very least for the last few minutes when Lambert came on. It would have been good reward for his performances in the under 21's and a real incentive for the other kids to show that you will get your chance if you work hard.
Lovren got 3 bonus points, that's right THREE bonus points, on fantasy premier league, while Hendo got 1 and Coutinho 0. As a result of those 3 bonus points I lost my chance of top spot in my head to head league.
We've responded well after Utd/Arsenal. Comfortably beat Blackburn and no problems again tonight.

Except it should have been 1-1 when Lovren tripped their forward up in the box. I didn't even need to see the replay to know it was a nailed on pen.

I'm not sure we should throw lads on for their debut unless they're ready and we need them. Being on the bench is reward enough. All it does is unleash unnecessary pressure on him, from the fans and from his agent who'd want a new deal. A league debut at Anfield shouldn't be handed out on a whim.

And we should've had a free kick in the build up to the pen not given. And we should've had a pen when Allen was held in the box to prevent getting to a ball their keeper spilled. Should, would, could. It's not common to go through 90mins in this league without conceding a chance of sorts to the opposition. Bottom line is we created dozens of opportunities and it's just as easy to point to them as it is the few chances Newcastle had.
just seen the goals on Sky sports and it's clear as day we need to invest in a top striker.
Yeah, i didn't like the way Joe and Raheem scored either tbh, we need someone who'll do tricks and forward rolls as they score, none of this bland out of date just sticking it in the net rubbish.

hey hey hey you know what i mean wise guy,the missed chances
Johnson was terrible all game- so lazy and lethargic on and off the ball.
Ibe was rushed back too soon, he was also very poor.
Lovren is a disaster- what about that header straight to their striker when he should have left it to go to Mig
Everybody else put a shift in and played well. Great save by Mig from the header.

Johnson wasn't poor all game. He started off quite well, but fell into his usual lethargic self by the end of the first half. So happy that he'll be off our books soon.
Ibe playing meant Newcastle had to change their whole game, i.e. put a useful midfielder, Anita, on the left to counter his pace. That, and being double man marked all game, left Newcastle with zero pace in midfield and why Lovren/Johnson weren't under more pressure (thankfully). No Ibe = more pressure on us. You're seeing his contribution like clueless Derby fans when they couldn't work out what he did most of the game(s). Doesn't take Sherlock to work out why Derby aren't anywhere near top anymore.
Thought we were ok last night but without any credible or genuine goal threat then we'll draw and lose more games than we win. For all of the good stuff we played at times in their half we didn't look like scoring many. Newcastle were dreadful.
Defence - where to start? Lovren should be sold in the summer, regardless of the loss. He's dreadful and just isn't what we need. Johnson; brainless, lax, ineffective. Glad he's a goner in the summer too. Can and Moreno played significantly better, all the more damning for Glen and Dejan when you consider Can and Moreno's youth and relative inexperience.
Midfield - pretty effective, Lucas and Henderson both enjoyed good games and Allen did ok as well. If we can upgrade Allen then that three next season could become a seriously good unit. Great to see Henderson really blossoming into his captaincy role; taking responsibility and taking no **** from the opposition.
Attack - Ibe looked off the pace and rusty, no shame in that he's had six weeks out. Coutinho and Sterling both were good and at times very good. However, neither were very good when given a sight at goal.
Sterling gave a perfect microcosm of his level; sensational at times and at others a typical 20-year old's performance, lacking composure and vision. Further reinforces my belief that he should have bitten LFC's arm off when it came to that contract. He needs another 3 or 4 years of playing in a team such as ours to see if he can fulfill his potential.

Agree with the rest.
Harsh
I saw his contribution as losing the ball practically every time he got it, his passing was poor and i don't remember him beating a man- he also miscontrolled numerous times, letting it out for a throw or a GK.
I agree that him being there had a positive contribution, but i also maintain my point that he played poorly on the ball.
He isn't a bad player- just had a bad game
