Everything looked so promising and then over the last 5 weeks or so we've deteriorated dramatically. Teams may have figured the system out but our tempo and pressing has disappeared. Players look tired and not bothered.

I don't know if it's modern football or the fact we are so ****ing average but I haven't shouted or got excited once during that whole half. Its a semi final and I'm just so non fussed. Football is becoming so meh. I drove past Wembley today, loads of people in bmws, Audi's, mercs etc, with scarfs on obviously on route. That's football these days. Its become so brutally dull and self serving in a relatively short space of time.

Everyone except Sterling and Coutinho has been anonymous going forward.

Because, apart from an in form and healthy Sturridge, they are the only decent attacking players we've got at the club. Absolutely no surprise that we can't compete with the best.

Rodgers has been in awe of Gerrard since he joined the club. If we get to the final and Gerrard's fit he'll play him, despite the fact that it's blindingly obvious he's well past it and actually makes the team worse.

He's been totally anonymous today but there's not the remotest chance he'll be substituted no matter how the game's going.
