Rodgers confirms Daniel Sturridge won't be fit to face West Brom. "We're unsure (when he'll be back)."
Sakho and Lucas ruled out vs West Brom, says Rodgers.

I'd rather we played some of the second team players or youth.

I'm just itching to see Ibe and Sterling work together with Coutinho. We won't be playing ****e football that's for sure. Might be playing with 10 men if Gerrard starts but we should be able to cover that.

It's too early to be ambivalent isn't it? Fourth is most likely out of reach but we're still within the sort of range that a freak weekend of results could make it very much back on.

I was going to put a after that but I couldn't really muster one.

Is there a 'low probability but it's all we've got' smiley?

You people need to wise up. This season is far from over. If you think teams haven't reeled in bigger points difference in the past you're dead wrong. It's all about desire now, and whilst we didn't witness it in the last game, that failure could be what galvanises the team to finish 4th. No longer able to smoke cigars on the pretence they'll all be playing in a cup final.

Game on is what I say. 5 points is nothing. We need a perfect run and two errors by one of the Manc clubs. This time next weekend we could be rolling hot. Thank the heavens we aren't the last line of defence to an alien invasion. We'd all be speaking Marsian by the end of the day.
                Forwards.......

We finish 4th and get dumped out in the 3rd Qualifying Round given our appalling European record so far.

No chance we're going to finish 4th. We're not good enough and all the teams around us are playing better. Like your positivity but it's not going to happen.

What are we hoping to get out of these last few games? Realistically, there's less chance of catching Man City for 4th place than there was of winning the league last season. The best we can hope for is a 5th place finish - is that what we want? Is a Europa League grind really what we want to endure next season, with a likely minimal squad? So, for me, with the likelihood of at best a 5th place finish and the prize of the Europa League, I couldn't give a **** about the end of this season. Its been knocked out of me.

Unfortunately UEFA have said his ban from this season carries over to next season on account of him being suspended last season.

                            Sorry Bob.

I never expect anything against a Tony Pulis-managed side but frustration and disappointment.

Besides, nothing in the forensics of our last few performances suggests we have another gear or even the inclination to find it.

Man City have dropped far more points this year than they have gained, its actually very plausible they could drop points twice. Until recently we went on the best run in European football. More unlikely that United will drop points, City is a real possibility though. Its over when its over not a moment sooner.
