Exactly. Rodgers made the changes, and made a mess of them too.Originally posted by chadrtc View PostThought we played quite well to a point, on another day we win that comfortably.
The changes killed us though... We fell out of the game completely.
That's the season pretty much done now, barring a miracle.

I think you're reading waaayyy too much in to that.Originally posted by npinn001 View PostWhat was with him sitting where he did in the first half. Are we meant to go 'wow, he's being different, he must be reflecting here and trying to incite a reaction'
Or is he simply saying, 'i dont do anything really, see, so you might as well sack me'
I've had enough of him. He doesnt get the club, he just gets himself. He's always trying to be too clever.

A poxy match to watch, and no mistake.
The one thing is that we did try and put the effort in. On the other hand we didn't look like a team at all, nothing was particularly joined up and there was no discernible system.
We started off trying to use the wings a bit but they doubled up on Ibe and Sterling. At that point you need the midfielders making runs into the box off Balotelli but that didn't happen often enough and we gradually ran out of ideas. A bit more commitment to attack and we'd probably have won but you just can't trust us at the back so you can't be too gung-ho in midfield.
A pox on this season. Brendan has to do something big next or it'll be his last. Thing is, you wouldn't trust him with a pile of dough this summer, would you?Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

No its fine. What I'm saying is - we needed to go out today, and show fight after the poor loss last weekend. But all he's done is sat somewhere different to normal and drawn attention to himself. Its always about him. If not, then why do it? What is there to gain? It was purely about the focus on him- In my opinionOriginally posted by chadrtc View PostNot to single you out... but what relavence does where he sat have with the result. it was attack against defence. Unfortunately, our 'attack' has been poor all season.
Thought Lovren and Can played well. Ibe had some good moments. Coutinho looks a class apart. When did Sterling last have a good game for Liverpool?
Think this game showed that we desperately need better quality in the squad (i.e. quality first team players).Another MASSIVE game
