I know it's Balotelli that ultimately plays Dawson onside, but why is Skrtel over on Lovren's side (pretty much by his side) when we're pushing out but still expecting to deal with a crossed ball?

maybe cos the two centre backs running away from goal should guarantee that everyone of our players moves with them and then the hull cross would be just an offside, so the cross doesnt need challenging for.

Yup would and should have been 3 Hull players offside.

This is exactly the sort of performance I expected when I "lost my ****" about us signing Balotelli last summer. Possibly the biggest waste of space I've ever seen in a red shirt, we'd genuinely be better off playing with 10 men. Not that anyone else has covered themselves in glory but my god he's just utterly terrible.

I need to see it again, but when you see the replay you find yourself asking why Balotelli is in Skrtel's position.
