During the pre match warm up Stevie strolled over to Carra and the boys for a chit chat, it was ridiculous. Whilst he was chatting to the Sky sports boys both the teams were leaving the pitch to get ready for the match. It was all wrong from the get go.

I had the pleasure of watching the match with an Everton supporter and a United supporter, who laughed their asses off the whole match. Good times.

Yeah, you're right. I don't think Palace had to get out of third gear though. They kept a great shape whilst we stroked the ball around without getting anywhere and then just picked apart our atrocious defence through pace and not much else. We couldn't raise our game because because we never really started the game with any vigour.

My memory is shocking, so I can't remember Carragher's last game. Did it have the same media led shenanigans before the match or am I right in thinking Sky have had their grubby fingers dipped in the process yesterday?

        Very true, Bender.

I suppose the silver lining is *some* European football and our younger players will be one year older with another season under their belt. However, FSG are at a crossroads. They either tweak their wage structure and break from their norm or they stick to their guns and give Rodgers time for these players to peak together.

Jason Puncheon looked a world beater on this performance. Mind, they scored from a free kick, an off side goal and from a pen that wasn't a pen. They were the better side though, got a bit of luck at the right time and it was enough to beat us.

Don't know how we didn't get a pen either.
          Forwards.......

By the way, if we end up dropping to 7th our season could start on July 2nd.
