Before the game I could've sworn they said that while Benitez has been in charge that of the 44 away games we've had, that he's lost 21 of them??

Can anyone verify?

If true, it suggests that, assuming they are evenly distributed that we can expect to lose 8 games per season just on our travels, which is shocking if true.

In which case, 45 games (after today) is not a blip.

Unless Rafa can sort that out he will never win the league because 8 losses per year will never be the record of a successful side.

I know I'm stating the obvious but thats an astonishing stat over many games. Extremely concerning.

The first season was poor on the road but last season was much better and it looked like we had turned our away form around. This season however we seem to have gone back to the away form of 04/05 which is worrying.

It's time to sto ****ing about and start showing some hunger and agression but I think that'll be hard with some of last summers signings.

What puzzles me is that at home we seem almost unbeatable yet at home we're shockingly bad despite that fact that we play on roughly the same size of pitch and with the same set of players. It has to be sorted out but unfortunately we have shown no signs of improvement.

yep we were good away from home last year as well tho weren't we. We're gonna get ****ed royally by a half decent side at home. I mean Galtasary put 2 against us in the Euro cup when they started to have a go, and we rolled over and let them.

not sure but I think we've just equalled our worst away record of all time today
