I'd play Sterling in the number 10 role, get him a good game and then sell the cunt for £50m and then spunk £35m on Lacazette.

Like I said I will lose all respect for Rodgers if Sterling is in the squad. Not that he cares anyway.

If Rodgers wants to play Sterling to say the club won't be dictated to by a player, then so be it. I can see both sides of the coin; I can understand people wanting Rodgers to bench him and I can understand people wanting to him to make Sterling play to feel the crowd.

I can't see how Rodgers could be slammed for either decision.

Remember Suarez and training alone .... I say lets go down that route .. we have to send a message to all players present and future this club will not be ****ed with ... **** with us and we will give it back to you twice as hard, and you'll lose.

Maybe thats just me ... Its no acident all this ****e is coming from the same agent with two different players at two different clubs ... I would never do business with him again and I would exert any influence with as many club chairmans to follow suit, I would offer future good will just to blackball that %$@#

I think he should be dropped from the team, but also trotted out at the start of the game and at HT to receive the fans 'applause'.

He can wear his own **** clothes if he wants, because he's done being in Liverpool gear.

We could make him wear next season's kit.

Expecting this to be like Kenny's last game at Swansea where we lose to nil and look like we cant be bothered. Brendan had got rid of the sulking mentality we had for years previously brilliantly but it seems to have come back now.

Well I disagree. You can't have man who tells the manager he wants to leave before the Chelsea game, then allows his agent to leak to the press that he feels he's been bullied by the club, in the line-up as though it's cool what he did. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the players if he starts him after this? He shouldn't be anywhere near the squad with the kind of ungrateful attitude he is showing. Rodgers needs to show him who is the top dog and who calls the shots.

No, it's Sterling who allowed his agent to leak info to the press

                            I understand.

By not playing him, Rodgers would be protecting him from a backlash from the fans, it takes him out of the public eye and the media interest that will no doubt be keen for a headline. Dropping him would allow him the easy way out of the club.

If Rodgers plays him, it shows that he's not going to be dictated to by a 20 year old and maybe show other clubs that we mean it when we say he's not for sale and help strengthen our negotiating power.

I just don't think Rodgers can be blamed whichever way he decides to play this. He's already played him against Chelsea upon hearing the news, I'd guess he'll play him against Stoke too.

A win is a must IMO. People slag off the EL but all players want to play at the highest level & whether it's the CL or the EL it's still attractive to players. Must win.
