    Just ridiculous

Not sure why FSG are to blame though, their job has been to make the money available and it has been; £20m Markovic & Lovren, £16m Balotelli etc might as well not have been in the squad all season for all the use they've been. Since taking over they have a history of making tough decisions without hesitation, if this is more than a temporary aberration we've no reason to think they won't again.

Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.

I suppose their job is also to recruit and manage the people making decisions about how we spend the money. There is some indirect responsibility I guess.

I had made a commitment a few months ago to do a mountain biking trip today that I couldn't get out of. I thought ****, last game of the season, Stevie's last game for us, how can I get out of this biking thing. It was going to cause issues and bad vibes if I jacked it in to watch the footy so I bit the bullet and went biking.

It was in the Mourne mountains in N.Ireland and there is **** all reception so my phone was dead for over 4 hours. When we got back to the car I wanted to check the results but had no reception (car radio was broken too) so when we got into range of reception again I started to get messages flooding in on my phone. 3..4..5........11...12..13 I was like what the ****???? Fear gripped me as I thought christ something has happened to someone in my family and it was people trying to get the hold of me. At this point I still hadn't got the chance to check results due to the flood of inbound messages. The fear of a family member being in trouble subsided when I realised it was from friends and people I knew with text saying "lol" and "jesus christ" and "you lot are a joke" and "haha holy ****". Now I thought ah man we've been beaten or Stevie has been ****ing sent off in his final game or some **** similar.

The 14th text or so I read had "5-0 half time losers" and I genuinely thought this was a piss take. I stopped reading texts to check the bbc site on my phone. As it refreshed and I saw 6-1 I actually thought it was some sort of joke or typo on the site.

Nothing like a 6-1 loss to ****ing stoke of all teams to really ****ing ruin your day. At the same time a wave of relief washed over me as thought that this was a blessing. Hopefully this result will be Brendans P45.

We are a ****ing laughing stock. I had to turn my mobile off as the grief banter I was getting was horrible yet laughable too.
        Cheers

As far as I can see FSG have not done much wrong. They have made ALOT of money available which has been spent poorly by people at the club who will have to be made accountable for this now the season is over.

They have a history of acting decisively and there is no reason why they won't this time.

                Let's take a look at a factory / warehouse.

Owners pick a guy to run it and he gets good money to do so. It's his job to motivate the work force and get them to work to or above their level. By Brendan's own admission, 5th was par for the course. Considering we were second last year, I disagree. But either way, he's failed his own par.

Bottom line is he hasn't motivated or utilised the work force he has. Blame the players and you automatically have to blame the manager. Because it's his job to pick them and get results. One off results are acceptable. But over the course of the season we've had one spell where we were all happy, the rest has been a disgrace. And I'm talking as bad as anything Roy Hodgson served up.

Rodgers has had three years. Next season, I've no clue as to what his preffered line up, formation or tactics will be. I couldn't pick out 8/9 players from what we have and be happy to say that with two signings I see a real competitive first XI and from that we can move forwards.

I just don't see it. Last season we were there. We lost one player. What happened? We were abysmal before Danny got injured other than one game v Spurs. He could argue he had to play too many together at the start. But problem is, it's the end of the season and he still hasn't got a solid backline.

Nor can he argue about lack of coaching time. He's had almost one game a week for the last nine league games and we've won only two of them. I'm actually scraping the barrel trying to find an excuse. Stoke and Palace don't have better players. They don't have better strikers. We conceded 9 in two games against them.

Rodgers can't motivate or organise the team and he has to go.
                Forwards.......

I'm away at the moment, so didn't watch any of the game, I managed to find the score at half time was 5-0, I didn't know any more than that, I assumed we had had a couple of players sent off, just seen the final score and just found out we didn't

I know we have been poor at times this season, but this was a new low, losing 6-1 to Stoke WTF? I thought Rodgers was going to get another season, but given the recent run of form 5 defeats and a total of 8 points from 9 games is Hodgson like form and it would be difficult for him to defend his position to the owners given this disasterous form as well as explaining what happens with the players he/the transfer committee signed last summer
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

An omnishambles top to toe ... a sackable offence ... Steven Gerrard should take a look at himself also ... just gave up .. way to lead on your last game ever ..

Shocking .. really truly shocking ... and to bring your striker on in what the last 15 minutes its almost like we wants out himself

What annoyed me the most ...nobody other than the youngest player on the pitch seems arsed ... Jordan Henderson ... Captain of Liverpool Football Club ... ??? 6-1 against Stoke City ... I mean christ on a bike

If not (and if it's just custom and practice that they get to go after the last match) I'd make the ****ers come in all week to train and possibly the following week too.

Two and a half weeks and we better start making some proper signings.

This was embarrassing and ****, even for Newcastle.

I've thought it for a while but Rodgers has collapsed and I don't see any way back for him now unless he's too expensive to sack (which I doubt).

Get Klopp in, add to our two German signings and get some ****ing desire back.

                          Yes

I dont think anyone can reasonably say the owners havent supported Brendan in the market.

unless of course if we missed out on the likes of willian, konyoplaka, miktiryan etc because of petty pennies.

but that we will never know.

Markovicz, Can, Moreno were considered top talents around europe. we got them. Sakho too. i personally think the purchases have not been so bad its just the Premier League brutally exposes all weaknesses imediatley, and great players are difficult to find.

I have the feeling that like that Frank Sinatra song, the Premier League is rather like New York and that it made the likes of drogba and Ronaldo and Gerrard into the players they become.

Some just fall by the wayside. Lets see Can and Markovicz next year. Ibe has talant as does many of our younger players.

What disappoints me most about Rogers? He didnt play the likes of Shfji Ojo or Samid Yesil or even harry Wilson against Stoke. It was the perfect time to play them.

If you look at the Stevie goal but don't look at Stevie, i.e look at their players, it's almost like they just left him to score as they felt sorry for him. Hardly could be bothered to dive in with a tackle....just an observation.

I'm glad he didn't play the kids. Imagine that game being your debut.

As for the premier league exposing weaknesses, that's because LFC haven't been able to control games this season. We've been chasing our tails half the time, I genuinely don't know if we are set up to press high or not, hardly ever looked like a team playing together.
