    Who do we need then????

Ok so we are really struggling. I mean REALLY!

We need more experienced quality in some crucial areas. Not alot, just 2 or 3 players.

    My suggestions,

RW/RB- no one is gonna argue with me here. Pennant is not up to scratch. That said I wouldn't get rid of him. He's still so young and there is a glimpse of talent hiding in there somewhere. The lad just has no belief in himself. Probably doesn't help week in week out when you hear all your "fans" calling you ****e. For RW we NEED Alves. He can play there when we are away and maybe at RB at home. Give pennant some cameo appearances and let him develop (or try to). Also Alves would give Finnan a shot up he arse to up the ante on his style of play. Ribery would also be a good aquisition. Hopefully Djibs will be good for Marseille, MAYBE that could give us some bargaining power for Frank.

Creative midfielder. We need this so bad. Someone who can unlock a defence. Have a go at players, draw the defenders out etc... Could we ever get someone like Riquelme? (dreaming I know). Aimar would've been fantastic. I'd rather have a good creative midfielder who can dribble and retain the ball playing with 1 out and out striker, than 2 strikers not getting any service. It doesn't matter how much firepower you have up front, it means nothing if they're not getting any ammo.

A fit & hungry Garcia would have torn them apart today.

We don't need new players, we just need the ones we've got to start working and playing like a ****ing team, because 3/4 of them are a disgrace these days.

And less of the "systems", more of put the fukkin ball in the back of the net, how it should be done, then we'll talk systems later.

Wide men who are capable of crossing the ball instead of wrapping it up with a nice bow on top and handing it to the first defender would be a step in the right direction.

Sorry Morph, I think you're wrong. Players like Pennant, Gonzalez, Garcia, Zenden, Aurelio are mediocre Premiership players at best. They are not players who are going to win us a game on their own with an amazing piece of individual skill or flair.
I think the defenders are there but we could do with backup full backs.
I think we need a backup for Momo
We need a left winger and a right winger in the mould of C.Ronaldo. Players who are a constant threat, players who can change a game in a moment.
We need another striker to play with Kuyt, in the Beardsley mould.

A tough ask but as Liverpool manager, you should be up to it.

Sorry mate Garcia has won us plenty of games with an amzing piece of skill

Gonzalez is still too early judge as is Aurelio

Zenden I'll give you, and Pennant for the time being.

I agree we need backup for the full backs, and possibly one CB, but that can wait realistically.

Backup for Momo is important, depends on his prognosis wether we get a player in jan or the summer.

Left wing I don't think is as important as right at the moment

Also don't think we need a striker right this minute.

                  Reina

                  Finnan Carra Agger Riise

                  Gerrard Alonso garcia

                  Kuyt Crouch

Those ten players, when playing to their level are easily good enough, don't know who gets the last spot tho.

Granted, but ultimately he's not good enough. Would he get into Arsenal, Man Utd or Chavski first team? No.

Gonzalez is still too early judge as is Aurelio
How long are you going to give them, another 2 seasons of mediocrity. Time to face facts and nip the decline in the bud before it's too late.

Not if we're going to challenge for the title, you need quality cover in every position.

Disagree, not one of our wide men (Kewell excepted but he's out too often) is capable of beating a mna and putting in a decent cross.

Also don't think we need a striker right this minute.
How many games is Fowler going to play next season?

                    Reina

It's about a squad thoguh mate. 11 players can win you a game, even a cup, but they can't win you the league.

Disagree, he is good enough, and he'd get into their squads at least I think

Well i'm going to give them more than 3 months and a handfull of games each, both being south americans and coming from spain, might need time to adjust.

Yes you do, but there's other positions to address first in the grand scheme of things, but I'll give you the RB spot that deffo needs cover

Thus the right wing needs addressing first, as Kewell will be fit soon, and I'm still intent of giving Gonzalez a chance, as well as Aurelio. We have more options on the left than the right, so it stands to reason, that you would look at the right first.

How many games is Fowler going to play next season?

How many has he played this season? Exactly - we don't need another striker urgently do we.

No but I was addressing the point you made that we didn't have the quality to win the matches, when in fact we do

If anybody could stomach any more football after yesterday's fiasco then they should have watched Sevilla v Valencia............Let me tell you that our board/manager made a huge gaffe by not going the extra mile for Daniel Alves. The man is total class. I can't ever remember a player dominating/influencing a game from right back - the way he does. He can tackle, shoot, cross, create and score goals himself. He would add an extra two dimensions to our play at the moment.

We need the senior players at the club to start performing and our Captain to start embracing his role as captain, not just leading by example, which he isnt even doing at the moment.
We have been let down badly by our most experienced players this season more than anything else, that along with new players trying to settle in have cost us alot of points.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                              You're right there Bazza.

Personally I'm not sure that Gerrard should be our captain but taking the captaincy from him and giving it to Carra would create one hell of a media storm that we can do without right now.
