He doesn't have that extra bit of ability required to play for a club like Liverpool. Players like Baros, Cisse, Crouch, Morientes were all better imo.

I'd be chuffed with that given how much he's going to cost. We sorely miss squad players like Kuyt who could chip in with goals.

it's what they had in their lockers. Baros was direct, Cisse had pace, Crouchie had the height, Morientes the touch...Ings for me is just all round slightly better than average. He doesn't really have any strengths we could exploit.
