Was hoping he'd get the number 45 shirt.

Danny Ingis will be successful at LFC ... he has everything.. watch him flourish under Rodgers & CoOriginally posted by Yozza View PostStriker Danny Ings, 22, is wary of taking a historically significant Liverpool shirt number and insists he must earn the right to wear one of those worn by Anfield greats over the years. He may have a good attitude, he lacks technical ability though.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostHave to say......
I think he's going to do really well. Has the perfect attitude. Destined for big things.

Wouldn't it be all kinds of awesome if he turned out to be absolutely brilliant for us?
A proper Roy of the Rovers fairytale type scenario

I see the imo disclaimer but how can you say this without him ever having played for us?Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostI'm with Mattshark on this but I'm happy for the lad. Must be on cloud nine and I'm sure he'll work hard
He doesn't have that extra bit of ability required to play for a club like Liverpool. Players like Baros, Cisse, Crouch, Morientes were all better imo.

I'd be chuffed with that given how much he's going to cost. We sorely miss squad players like Kuyt who could chip in with goals.Originally posted by rudedog View Postcharity work - check

He's going to be the new Dirk Kuyt

it's what they had in their lockers. Baros was direct, Cisse had pace, Crouchie had the height, Morientes the touch...Ings for me is just all round slightly better than average. He doesn't really have any strengths we could exploit.Originally posted by Fivex View PostSo you're comparing the entire careers of that bunch with someone who's 22.
