I am 100% confident not one on this site or Twitter has watched every single game for Ings, so it's difficult to say of he regularly churns out decent performances. I've seen him stand out as a class above in some games I've seen, but I don't know if he regularly shines.
I guess the same could be said of any signing, including players like Firmino. Over a 38 game period in a season I'm sure we could find enough flashes of class to fill up a four minute video on most players playing at the top level.
I alluded to Kuyt in my last post, and he was the perfect example of a top level player. Reliability, performed every game to a decent level. He didn't have that X factor like a Suarez, but his mind set it what you need of players coming to Liverpool.
It's not just working hard, it's performing under pressure and to a good standard every week. Erik Meijer was garbage. He worked as hard as anyone, people say he treated reserve games like a World Cup final. Great attitude, but sadly not good enough.
I think we are starting to sign players with the right attitude, now it's down to them having the mindset to step up.
