Banging in goals for the u23's.

Watching Storage barely try whilst a lad like this is busting his arse off to get a gig infuriates me.

Surely he's not far off getting a game? What more does he have to do? His pressing and effort from the front would make up for his lack of skill IMO.

Be better than Firmino, Sturridge or Origi at football and while he's a good player, he's not. With no Europe, it is what it is! It's unfortunate for him but theres 3 better players.

And Sturridge was fine on Saturday. Worked and was free for an easy goal about 4 times but was ignored each time!

I like Sturridge as he seems to be a lucky talisman for the team somehow (maybe his self-assured cockiness robs off on the team?) but he was awful on saturday

If Ings was wanted for 20m in the summer and Klopp said no then one hopes he still has a future as a squad player next season what with the Champions League and all!

Ings will get his chance. Im sure we will have an injury or 5 before the seasons over. Just dont think there is much point in breaking up a winning combination at the moment.

i think Klopp probably likes the fact that he is so hungry for it. I think that he might get his chance to play before long..... right now Ings will have Origi's place in his sights. Then Sturridges.

In reality, we need a strong squad. And we will have injuries. Hopefully Danny Ings will be ready to help the team when we do get those injuries......

Sturridge wasn't at his best but I didn't see much wrong with his effort.

He did plenty of running off the ball and made loads of runs behind their defence.

End product looked off but he'd still likely have got a goal if he'd not ignored for the final pass despite being in a better position on a number of occasions.

Studge was absolutely dire. Minimal effort and the touch of a rapist. He looked like he couldn't be arsed most of the time.

Ings deserves a game to show what he's made of IMO. Storage and Origi haven't exactly covered themselves in glory this season. They've both looked massively off pace.
Nah. Some of his "minimal effort" runs were excellent, including the one which helped open up all the space for Mane to end up getting the free kick for our first. He can do much better but he wasn't dire or lazy on Saturday.

The only thing that concerns me about Sturridge is his pace appears to have reduced

He looks like hes lost a yard or two and I think that was a lot of what made him a good player

reckon ings deserves at least a place on the bench on form

                          ings will get a turn.

sturridge has lost pace and cant do the press when needed. some good running [jogging] off the ball isnt enough.

origi is fast but can often have a clumsy first touch.

i dont think there is much to choose between them all on current form, and ings seems to be coming good with his time in under 23s.

                          bench at least.

I don't see Ings getting near the bench outside of cup matches.

Origi and Sturridge can only make the bench right now, Ings is definitely behind them.

Origi has done the square route of **** all so far this season

Well, he has barely got on the pitch so difficult for him to make an impression, yet still managed to score the other week? When the team is winning and with us not playing in Europe its going to be really difficult for guys to break into the team and squad.
