Those first 7 away games have killed the season. Under a lot of pressure Rodgers would have wanted a decent start to get some momentum going but with that fixture list its going to be very tough.

I feel for him but it is what it is.

For me the start sets the tone and it's difficult to recover (like last season).

This is why I said yesterday I'd prefer an easier start - it's all about momentum. But I think that's more the case when challenging for the title. If we are looking at top 4 we can get away with a patchy start.

As proved by Arsenal countless times, a good run in can make all the difference.

Very difficult start, considering Rodgers will be under massive pressure from the get go... Those away games are nasty.

Hopefully the squad will be complete by start of season and actually fit.

Good to get Stoke at the Brittania out of the way. Set things right, and hopefully have 6 points going to the Emirates.

Didn't think Sky had a say in the fixtures but @GNev2 must have been involved in picking Liverpool's first 7 away games.

Mig to save a penalty on the opening day in the 90 minute to give us the win...

I think this could be good for us. Just get the **** in, go for broke and to hell with the consequences. If we come out of it with wins against the muck and draws/wins against the top 4 then we've done very well and maybe we'll be in a strong position in Jan to bolster our team with a good player to carry us to the CL.

Just seem the fixtures, that's a difficult start to the season with that run of away games. We really need to hit the ground running, something we haven't been able to do in recent seasons. A decent start could be the springboard to a good season, a bad start and we could be looking for a new manager by Christmas.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

if that's the excuse for the last game of the season thrashing then shame on the players.
