I think that the vast requirements of the fixture list lead to noticeable patterns developing.
Clubs you wouldn't associate wanting to play on opposite days - second club fans tagging along rather than an away day? Clubs sharing stewards, minimising transport bottle nexks - presumably that means a LFC/Efc, MUFC/MCFC, and AVFC won't all head down to London for an away day on the same day.
Once you have so many parameters to fulfill it is understandable that certain squences occur.
Not suggesting it is fixed (apart from the Boxing day fixtures that are manually decided) but it understandable that people see trends or patterns. For instance, for 5 seasons we have played Citeh or United directly before/after playing one of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea. In several of those seasons we have also played Everton directly adjacent (either a 3rd game or as a second pair).
If you look at their fixtures I have no doubt that when we are off to a second game against a rival while they bugger off to Newcastle or Sunderland etc. And of course when we are playing Newcastle they are off to London to play one of the rivals. And furthermore the Newcastle fans can then moan they play two big clubs in a row.
This season of course technically won't make it 6 seasons of that trend (well it might later, I havent looked) the start just looks particularly odd due to them all coming up in the away games.Football without Origi is nothing

Taken from http://www.espnfc.com/club/liverpool...-fixtures-blow
"Liverpool's first seven away games are as brutal as it gets, particularly given Rodgers' record in those fixtures during his time as Liverpool boss. In the 21 away games against those seven teams, he's won just four. That does not bode well."
His poor form against the top teams could bite him hard if it doesn't improve. We need a win against Stoke and Bournemouth and if we lose points at home in the middle of this run there is very real possibility that **** will hit the fan.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Few changes to our fixtures
Seven Liverpool fixtures in the upcoming season have today been altered for television coverage and European football commitments.
The Merseyside derby at Goodison Park will take place at 1.30pm on Sunday October 4 and be broadcast by Sky Sports.
The Reds' trip to Tottenham Hotspur remains on Saturday October 17 but will now kick off at 12.45pm. BT Sport will show the match.
Sky Sports will televise the Anfield meeting with Southampton, which has been moved to Sunday October 25 at 4.15pm.
Brendan Rodgers' side will take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday October 31, starting at 12.45pm on BT Sport.
And the away clash with Manchester City has been set for a 5.30pm kick-off on Saturday November 21, live on Sky Sports.
Liverpool's participation in the Europa League means two further home fixtures have been rearranged.
The Reds will host Crystal Palace at 4pm on Sunday November 8 and Swansea City at 4.15pm on Sunday November 29.

Anyone know why the City game is pencilled in for a Tuesday night? Usually there would be an FA cup game at the weekend forcing the PL to put on a full midweek schedule, but there isn't here. Usually these midweek games are guaranteed not to move, so it's safe to book flights, but I'm not so sure this time.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View Post2015-16 LFC fixture list

I hope Klopp wasnt available in the summer, makes no sense though. He could have come in the summer, had his signings in place, full preseason with his methods, just plucking 2 fixtures from our start West Ham/Norwich turn them into wins and we are 1 point off the top

I was wondering why that was the only Wednesday match myself as I didn't think TV schedule had been agreed yet. I'm expecting us to me moved to the Wednesday too anyway as we'll be playing in the league cup final that Sunday.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostEuros?
