Quite an attacking side if that is what we go with, not wholey unexpected I think most of us would have prefered Sakho to Lovren, but I think based on the rumours of the last week or so I don't think anyone would be surprised by Lovren starting, for me the main question was whether we would go with a Lucas or Can as an extra man in midfield or Lallana or Ibe as the extra attacking player. Other question would be Moreno or Gomez, which could easily go either way. I would expect Firmino to get 20-30mins from the bench.

Behind him, alongside him, in front of him, next to him. The bloke needs as much help as he can get. All available evidence points to him being an absolute disaster, Stoke will be looking to bully whoever we have at the back, Lovren just makes their job a bit easier.

Aye, we'll need to get off to a good start to have any chance of keeping our fringe players happy. At least if we're winning they can't complain too much about not playing, but not even making the bench of a struggling team would be a lot harder to swallow.

If we are going with just Milner and Henderson in midfield and Lallana and Ibe providing some width it may make sense to play the more defensive Gomez ahead of Moreno.

If we were relying on width from full backs I imagine Moreno would be in and Lucas/Can providing an extra body in midfield at the expense of one of Ibe and Lallana
