I think he's a great passer and good on the ball, but I don't understand how come people completely ignore some of the **** ups he does... Last year vs. Chelsea if I remember correctly, how many times did he give the ball away right in front of our penalty area?? Nobody seemed to mind then.
Still, he's our best defender and a million years ahead of Lovren.

Truth is somewhere in the middle. Sakho is better than Lovren but not better than Skrtel. He can also look clumsy on the ball but he reads the game well and his passing isn't that bad.

Ideally, we need better than Lovren and Sakho.

The issue is you made a statement that is inconsitent with the evidence says. Stats have their value so long as they are used correctly and can show where bias affects perspective.

If that team is correct, Powder puff midfield.
Stoke will put a couple of reducers in the first few minutes and the midfield will disappear in to their shell.
We need a DM who will shield Lovren and Skrtel, don't get why Rodgers doesn't buy one.

Nothing I have said is inconsistent with the evidence. I said he is one-footed and quite frankly if you are going to argue this then you are utterly mental. Not even misty eyed dreaming over Suarez sublime ability to use either foot. Sakho is ****ing crap with his right foot. 100% fact.

I said he dallies on the ball and gets himself into a mess. He does. Instead of securely passing the ball to a team mate he takes a bloody age and invites the opposition closer than they should be (perhaps that is why he has to pass the ball backwards 50% more than Skrtel)...

It is a visual analysis of the game rather than trying to rely on a number on paper. Much like how people say Skrtel has crap positioning is a visual observation and not a reliance on a stat.
