I'm sorry about Matip, but Gomez getting regular games was something I wanted all along. Needs to play and develop, because he has the potential to be among the best in the world. Amazing player, just hope his bad luck with injuries is over.
Vardy was clueless against him. I'm sure Gomez is faster than him basically cancelling out his only asset, as he isn't particularly skilful to fool defenders.
Him at that level just makes us even better, can push a little higher, press even better and the other team looks like a suffocated mess. Any ball in behind or whatever is just dealt with via the pace of one of them or Alisson. Eassssyyy.
We were already the best team in the world anyway but Joe playing like that and the skill set Naby brings takes us up another notch.

Gomez, Matip and Lovren all have recurrent injury issues, usually we have one if them fit and two others injured.
Occasionally one will be on the bench, and the fact that Klopp feels we need to recall Nat Philips from loan says it all... we need more reliable cover.
Gomez is doing brilliantly, but its well worth considering another decent CB who is less injury prone, like Soyuncu.
Im sure he could also cover the DM position too.
Mabe it'd then mean we could sell off Lovren.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Gomez broke a bone, can't call that a proneness to injury like a susceptibility to muscle injuries.
