Hahah yeah no. I watched plenty of A League last season it was woeful especially when it came to defending. Lovren would be considered a world class defender that is how woeful the defending is. A bit better in terms of attacking but a lot of bad passing from the midfield.

Intelligent, strong and comfortable on the ball and by the looks of it can play across the back 4, we really must keep this lad at the club, he does not need more championship experience, he need to test himself at the next level. I believe this guy will be England's most expensive defender within 3 years

Yes sorry thats what i mean ... we need to develop him, look after him and give him and players like Ibe etc a team that they feel can win things, we are not here just to try and get into top 4, we need to silverware regularly.

I honestly thing this squad has massive potential if it clicks and we get the run of the green

Gomez is this season's Flanagan.

Flanno was extremely unlucky ... he got injured .. its happens .. if he remained fit he would be still in the team, what injury did he sustain again

Gomez is quality, people who have watched him play have said he special and honestly after just a couple of performances I can see why people think, he was Charlons player of the year in the Championship which is probably one of the most physical lgs in the world. Immediately I could see he had that lethal combination of calmness, speed of thought and intelligence that only the truly top players have. He will be a massive player for us over the coming years.

It really isn't, the best teams of the A-league are akin to lower-mid championship clubs and the worst top league 1 sides.

Perfect for pre season. The best players in past years have struggled to cut it in the championship and someone like Talay at Sydney fc for example, a key player in one of the better squads of last season was a championship player with Middlesbrough.

The A league has improved a lot since its creation though.
