Hes still young and learning so we can forgive him the odd lapse (as long as he's not repeating the same errors). Apart from those blips, I thought he was great and seems to be a really good partner for VVD.

He does seem to have gained some extra zip this season (has he's lost some bulk?). There were a couple of times I thought Moura was through but big Joe just turned on the afterburners - what a tackle this was

Joe Gomez's game by numbers vs. Spurs:

    80% pass accuracy
    44 touches
    4 aerial duels won
    3 tackles won
    3 clearances
    0 fouls
apparently Klopp told him to lose the beach muscles!

One thing that helps him is his pace, it can get him out of jail at times
made a crunching tackle too in the second half

This kid is ****ing class. He is an absolute Rolls Royce at centre back.

Looks cool and calm as ****.

You don't mess with Joe or Virgil.

He's immense. His role in the winner was great as well, was calm as **** when it would be easy to just panic and lob it forward. Was actually him and VVD that gave it to Bobby.

He seems to have matured greatly & I guess the influence of playing alongside Virge has also helped.

Yeah VVD has done wonders for his confidence & it was great to see that confidence even when playing with a different partner today. Long may this form last.

                              Wow.

He looked a class apart tonight. I can’t belive how good he has turned out.

Fast, composed, good on the ball, strong in the tackle, solid in the air, bringing the ball out with confidence. If he keeps this up he is going to be the bedrock of this team for years. He looks immense.
