diego armando maradona, the worlds greatest, hands down end of discussion close down this stupid thread..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

I'm still shaking my head at that mysterious episode..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Utd wouldn't have been half as successful without him. Imagine those 4 years when Evans was at the helm and we finished 3rd/4th/3rd/4th....would Schmeichel have made the difference? bearing in mind that David James cost us 20 points a season, Schmeichel definitely would have helped win us the league quite comfortably a couple of times in my opinion.
My argument for those that might wish we had Shearer/Cantona/Henry etc is that during the spell under Evans (when we were genuine challengers until the last 4-8 weeks) is that we had top class scorers in the mould of Fowler/Owen around that time. A few extra goals would have been nice but wouldn't have had as much impact as a world class stopper.
What say you?
Harry Kewell'and boy could he play!.
