Paul Anderson is a good player and definitely a better prospect than Pennant so if Jermaine can get in the team then why can't Anderson?

Totally agree. Anderson can do no worse than Pennant. People talk about his confidence well sitting on the sidelines and not getting a look-in whilst Pennant continues to play ****e must be seriously pissing him off.Originally posted by kurtangle01Paul Anderson is a good player and definitely a better prospect than Pennant so if Jermaine can get in the team then why can't Anderson?

I don't know Morph. Putting good young talent into a poor Liverpool side didn't dent the confidence of players such as Redknapp, McManaman or Fowler. I suspect that the debate should be around whether or not Anderson is good enough to play for the first team and I suspect that he probably isn't at the moment.Originally posted by Morphorinono, he's not going to change the fortunes of the team
putting him into the **** team we're playing like at the moment could kill his confidece

Yes id play him when we are dominant, its easier to settle into a winning team, than a team that is struggling, like as has been mentioned, so, if we are two goals to the good at anfield I think he could be well worth a run out. Id hate to see the team going too much further without giving him a chance. He has looked good for a while now.Originally posted by Red ChilliWhy not play him at Anfield where we are dominant?Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

I dont know how many exactly, and too lazy to look it up, but he seems to make an appearance in every game. Rafa really wants him to settle.Originally posted by kopdanPersonally I think we have to stick with Pennant.
Can anyone tell me how many home games JP has played? Would be nice to know if he only seems to play away when everyone else is **** too.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

so basically he's not been a permanant fixture in the team except for maybe away where nobody plays well.
Perhaps we should judge him after a full season. I dont want people to be embarrassed by their comments so early on."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"
