Has been outstanding, if he can improve his final ball high up the pitch we will have some player on our hands.

Apart from a brief period all at sea as swing back he's been awesome. Anyone who doubted him must be having to eat a seriously hot bowl of **** soup by now
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I am ...I didn't really want him. Still think he's a bit pants going forward but I can deal with that. He's an excellent defender.
        Thanks very much for being

Team's don't seem to want to attack us down our right, there's a reason for that! He's been great defensively and his pace in attack does help stretch teams even if he's not up to much if he receives the ball.

          Great buy.

Hardly ever (never) switches off at the back. The way he was alert for the cross to Sterling was a goal all day long with nearly any other RBs we've had. I'll take that for another 2 seasons until we require an update.

Solid, reliable 7/10 every game. He's The second coming of Steve Finnan.

Doesn't get mentioned much. But there is a lot to be said for a solid consistent performer like Clyne.

He isnt pulling up trees, but he doesnt really make mistakes. If he does they seem fairly minor.

Think he is one of our better buys in recent years

Yeah our most consistent player no doubts. Reminds me of Steven Finnan the way he plays.

                      That's a great comparison.

Yeah he is a really solid player. You know what you are getting every game, doesn't offer as much as Johnson did in attack, but his solid distribution is welcome after Johnsons which was somewhat more erratic. A good signing.

I didn't see your comparison to Steven Finnan and posted same. Spot on IMO

Finnan's a great comparison. Been missing someone as reliable as him and I will never take that for granted again.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

So long as he doesn't suddenly go to pieces when people play long balls to his side like Finnan did in the end I'm happy enough with that comparison. Finnan had a much better cross though.
