Yeah it is mad to see him getting stick and to see him being referred to as a player that needs replacing.
He is like a physically stronger version of Stevie Finnan. Rock solid more often than not at the back and a pretty good outlet going forward despite the criticism on that front.
He has pretty much brought his A game to the first team as soon as he joined, and I think when people talk about how players like Firmino, Origi etc will be better after they have a full season under their belt they forget that Clyne is still getting his first season with us under his belt.
Love seeing his name on the teamsheet because I am confident straight away that he can handle whatever player is attacking down our right flank.Last edited by Doc_Piptorious; 11-03-16, 12:02 PM.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Having just watched the highlights from last night again, his link up play with Firmino really was excellent and hopefully something we can see develop further for the remainder of the season.
Like you say, should be able to take it up another level next year, especially if we get a more settled defence in place. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Brilliant, our best player last night for me and that took some doing! His work in tight spaces was pretty special at times, I was sat maybe 10 yards away from it and any of our front players would have been happy with his skills
Defensively. Its becoming the norm from him, solid. Depay didn't get a sniff of anything even when he was caught up the pitch.Vive la France

there was loads of pressure down his flank, attacking it in twos and threes so he was stretched. looked poor [less good] on a couple of occasions but often on his own. lovren reluctant to step out and leave gaps, lallana not tracking back, etc.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
