I wonder should we read much into Sakho starting this game as I am sure he won't play in the "main" game tomorrow. That will be two games in a row that Rodgers will have gone with Skrtel & Lovren.

How anyone can't see that Sakho is far superior to Lovren baffles me. I really hope Sakho isn't getting pushed to the side to accommodate Lovren.

Hard to know for sure.

No doubt the tinfoil hats will be on at some point, highlighting the fact (though never, ever confirmed) that Sakho was a committee effort and Dejan was Brendan's.
If Lovren did bed in and form a partnership with Skrtel, it'd solve an awful lot of problems for Brendan if that was the case.

Not something I believe in personally (the fact that Rodgers would CHNOTSHF that is, not the movers and shakers on their repsective signings).
Guess we'll just have to see what side lines up at the first hint of opposition.

Hmm, thought Sakho would play the "proper" game tomorrow, if its Skrtel Lovren again I'm going to get slightly concerned.

Thought it when I saw the line up for the first game. Be mighty pissed off if we start the season with Lovren anywhere near the team. I do wonder if Brendan feels he can't build a partnership at the back with Sakho cos of his frequent injuries.

Didn't James Pearce not tweet recently that Sakho is seen as the first choice CB with Skrtel. Also Moreno at LB with Digne on loan as a possible backup?
