We don't look at all good at the back. That particular horror show will continue this year I think.

I think Henderson and Milner will offer more protection than we had last year. My worry is the balance up front, Lallana is very deep at times today which leaves us pretty toothless and easy to handle. 4-2-3-1 can too easily become a negative 4-5-1 if you're not careful.

Some good movement up top from them at times......certainly in comparison to us.

I don't expect silky, smooth football on game one. But it's game one for Stoke too and we should be playing better than them.

I wouldn't say Stoke are playing that well. Sure, they've had more of the ball but they're the home team. They haven't been threatening bar the odd defensive brain fart from ourselves.

It's a typical early season game with little tempo or continuity.
