What will be interesting is seeing how the defence copes with the pace they have, different side to Stoke who went physical with Walters. Jon Walters cutting in between Gomez & Lovren shouldn't pose too many problems other than the obvious physical battle.
You can see Josh King & Ritchie using their pace to get between the CB & FB and look to take Lovren out wide like Bolasie did last season for Palace. I think for So'ton Lovren had that protection in front so rarely got dragged wide even when Luke Shaw bombed on. He didn't get that protection last season and lost confidence in other areas of his game as he got swallowed up.
It's key we get the balance right and tonight will give us a better idea over whether we have learned to stay compact to a degree, even if we get on top as they have pace to burn. Not only on that flank, but Callum Wilson & Max Gradel on the other side.Forwards.......

I think Brendan's craziest idea would be to pick his squad based on the opinion of others. He is under immense pressure now, all the good will he had in the bank has long been spent. He has to do what he beLives Lovren is right he must go with it.Originally posted by baronvonskidmark View PostIf Sakho leaves right now it would be the craziest decision that Brendan's made so far...but you could see it happening.
I'm not privy to what has been said but I don't care anymore. Rodgers is in the midst of a storm & he has to go through it.Forwards.......

I just can't see him staying after getting over looked for Lovren last season until Lovren's position was untenable & now this season not making the squad.Originally posted by baronvonskidmark View PostIf Sakho leaves right now it would be the craziest decision that Brendan's made so far...but you could see it happening.
I suppose we don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but our CB options are pretty hideous without him. He certainly does like a bit of Dejan that's for sure.

I take your point about Brendan needing to pick the players that he wants and I agree. But surely that doesn't disallow anyone else to have an opinion on those players and team selection?Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think Brendan's craziest idea would be to pick his squad based on the opinion of others.
