Understandable we looked uncoordinated tonight with so many new players being bedded in.

If I was the manager and had to pick one player to go and thank after that game it would be Alberto Moreno. Bournemouth played very well but when Henderson went off they took over midfield. First Rodgers brings on Can, and he was pretty poor as far as I could see, seemed almost nervous, and was bypassed a few times. Milner seemed to go to the right which may have been the reason, because it seemed like Lallana and Can in the centre. Lallana was getting brushed off the ball. Then Firmino comes on and seemed to not want to do any defending at all. We looked a shambles at that point with no leaders. Then Moreno comes on and really puts in a shift and brings us up the field relieving the pressure on our back four. His contribution was immense. Well done lad.

I must have dreamt Coutinho and Benteke's point blank misses. You pessimists have great eyes.

Thought Can & Lallana were dreadful. Milner immense - Held it together just about.

Who to blame? Don't know tbh. Think Henderson on the pitch made Our midfield look good last week with Can and first half with Lallana.

Funny that they kept targeting our right side because Phil didn't track back, but Milner covered well and helped out Clyne brilliantly. Yet the times they went at our left, that's where the chances came as Gomez dropped off when he got booked.

Overall - We were a bit disjointed but as I've said previously, I'll only criticise the performance after about six games and we've had time to settle.

Side note - Phil & Chris combining well.
          Forwards.......

Moreno is the new Gareth Bale

Stick him on the wing, Brendan
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

they were actually misses though, not disallowed goals

He only looked good because he's lightening and they were knackered and pushing up. Good little cameo though, good substitution by Rodgers.

We gave the ball away easily, our passing wasn't up to what we'd expect and the result was fortunate.

                  Still early days though.
We were the better side, only team to create any chances of note. They went all out late on and still created no clear chances, ambitious efforts from Ritchie aside.

We should've done better with our openings, Phil should've had a hat trick and Benteke should have two.

Nah. He's excellent. The bit where he jinked through about 15 of their players before being cynically sythed down was magical. He's a baller for sure.

It bothers me that we've spunked a load of money over the last two summers and we're still starting with two teenagers.

Ibe is still a work in progress and needs to go to the bench.

Lallana is worrying me now and I'd take him out of the team too.

Joe Gomez is unreal. He's bound to have a big dip soon cos he can't carry on like this. If he does we have the new Beckenbauer on our hands

Moreno's wild enthusiasm when he came on was great to see. I hope we don't give up on him.

Clyne - so far - has been much better than I expected. He looks really good.

Lovren and Skrtel scare the **** out me. That was a goal after 5 mins and Lovren was gash.

Can in CM is still a bit of a concern - looked a bit lost tonight. We definitely lost impetus after Henderson went off, even if he is being almost totally negated in that more defensive role. The balance of the team really doesn't feel right to me - we're not getting the best out of Henderson, the central 3 isn't working yet and we still look like we're trying to figure stuff out with our attacking set-up.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And our goal was a goal and not an offside.

Thank God, for a moment I though my aunty had grown balls. Its a relief I won't have to call her Uncle Bob.

Lovren was gash for their "goal" but to be fair to him he won a lot of ball. Had one wild clearance but won the header straight afterward. I thought he did a lot better than Skrtel to be honest. By no means the finished article but he certainly wasn't the cause of our problems tonight. That would be a midfield with Lallana in it. I really wanted him here but he needs to do a lot more.

Gomez, 95% of the time, has so much composure it's unreal. I'm preying he carries on like this.

I love the way Milner gets stuck in and puts a hard tackle in. It gets the crowd and the team going.

We made hard work of that, but six points. Their goal should have stood and ours was off-side. Need to be much better against Arsenal. Impressed that there doesn't seem to be any bickering on here!
