People keep talking about us struggling with their midfield, but I think they might struggle to contain Can. I have a feeling he might have a good game and if he does, he could destroy Arsenal's midfield.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I've got that buzz when all I can think about is the match tonight, even though Arsenal away is always one of those sickening games where you feel we could play them away 15 times a season and probably not get one result against them. Hate playing these away from home but nevertheless I am full of hope.

Hopefully we roll these ****ers over tonight

Arsene Wenger says he is struggling to feel sorry for Liverpool over Raheem Sterling's acrimonious exit from Anfield this summer after they refused to sell Luis Suarez to Arsenal two years ago for £40 000 001

I'm dreadfully excited, can't wait but I never expect anything form them away.

A number of places seem to be suggesting Lucas and Firmino, will start, presumably Lucas in for Henderson, I assume Firmino will come in for Ibe or Lallana, which or those two are we expecting to drop out? My guess would be Ibe, but what do people think?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's both according to PST. Firminho and Can for Lallana and Ibe.

of course I forgot we were looking at a midfield three on Milner, Can and Lucas

Ok so Coutinho moving to a wider role on one side and Firmino wide on the other side?

You'd imagine that's how we'd line up, well we definitely will if we stick to 433. I wouldn't mind 442 diamond though with Firminho and Benteke up front, although can't see it. In saying that, having Firminho in the side allows us to be flexible so we could change mid game if necesary.

Most of my concern is directed at the unreliable streams.

I'm strangely confident that we'll give them a good game and we could nick a result.

If we do, I hope everyone here puts aside their team concerns and takes a deep breath of euphoria and hope for a great season.

Giroud could be a big danger for them tonight with Lovren (woeful) and Skrtel (arms wrapped around every striker, every corner and free-kick)

Cazorla ran us ragged last time with too much space in front of the back four...

I think, if we read into Rodgers' comments about Arsenal, that we could see Lucas and Can in front of the defense to close down the space in front of goal. We'd then try to use counter attacks and Benteke's presence in the box.

                          Clyne - Skrtel - Lovren - Gomez
                          Lucas - Can
                          Firmino - Milner - Coutinho
                          Benteke

Limit the space they get in front of the goal and keep things narrow, similar to what West Ham did. Firmino - Milner - Coutinho could offer pressing as well.

I hope for a good result but I'll hang on to my concerns thank you. It would be reverse kneejerk of me to pretend I had no concerns based on two or three games wouldn't it ?

I'd prefer Can as our most attacking midfielder. Think he can offer a lot going forward and would prefer Milner's experience and reading of the game when covering Arsenal's runners from midfield.

If we win I'll be eating a slice of relief strudel and I'll be hoping to eat the rest of the dessert over the next few away fixtures.
