As long as they do actually join! Benteke vs Mertesaker will be intriguing.
Benteke is going to smash **** out of their defence ha ha!
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
I would argue he's faster than any of Arsenal's midfield although I haven't watched Coquelin enough exactly how fast he is.
can is fast, but not blistering as he seems to take 5-10 yards to get motoring. what we dont need is pace to run the whole length of the pitch, its often how fast you are over the first five yards that make the big difference in a congested midfield.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
This is a game shouting out for Lucas to start, like you say to shore up our midfield. I have a sneaky feeling he will start. Rodgers won't cut off his nose to spite his face, too big a task at any rate.
Zaha and Bolasie do not have a skill set that Ibe has and neither of them tried to attack Monreal.
Ibe would.
I disagree with this, I think both have superior 'skill sets' than Ibe does currently, he's still pretty raw but against Bournemouth he really struggled to beat his man. At this moment I'd like him to be more of an impact player against tiring legs and adding a very different attacking option. The problem is without him we're all a bit too much of the same with Lallana/Coutinho and I imagine Firmino so he's our only attacking player that offers width.
Looking at there last two games one thing is very apparent they like to play out and through the left flank, Monreal is a big part of their game, him, Carzola and Sanchez, are there obvious threat all down the lefthand side, I would Stick Can on Ozil and combine him with Milner and Clyne to keep that side of the pitch very tight, I would Start Firmino and stick him on Monreal and keep Benteke high up the pitch at all times to leave space for the likes of Coutinho to run into on the counter … Seat on Carzola, don’t give Monreal anytime on the ball and you take a lot of there bite away, I would also play very narrow without the ball

Jordan Henderson is winning his fitness battle after scans removed fears he had cracked a bone in his foot.
The new Liverpool skipper limped out of Monday’s win over Bournemouth just seven minutes into the second half, to spark worries within Anfield that he could be facing a long-term lay-off.
But after undergoing several checks on Wednesday, medics have reassured him midfielder Henderson is no hairline fracture - which means he has a chance of making next Monday night’s trip to Arsenal.
And that has come as a massive relief to manager Brendan Rodgers, who was considering an emergency plunge into the transfer market to find experienced cover for his captain.
Henderson will now be given time to recover, and he will be allowed to decide for himself whether he is fit enough for the visit to the Emirates, which will be the first real test of the Reds’ top four ambitions this season after beating Stoke and the promoted Cherries.
For Rodgers, the results come as good news after he was left wondering if he should make a late bid to hijack West Ham’s deal for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.
Song was available on a short-term deal after last season's year-long loan with the Hammers and, with his previous Premier League experience at Arsenal, was seen as inexpensive cover for midfield, where Joe Allen is injured and Lucas Leiva is out of favour.
West Ham moved swiftly to complete the Song deal on Wednesday as Rodgers decided he has enough cover, with Allen due to return in a fortnight and Emre Can impressing after coming on for new captain Henderson against Bournemouth.
Lucas has become a target for Italian sides Inter Milan and Juventus, with Besiktas of Turkey also interested, and Rodgers is prepared to let him leave despite the doubts over Henderson’s fitness.
While the Brazilian is likely to go before this transfer window closes, the Reds' boss will not consider bids for defender Mamadou Sakho - despite the Frenchman’s unrest at being axed from the squad.
France international Sakho has not even made the subs' bench for the opening two Premier League fixtures.
Even though he is happy on Merseyside, he has made it clear he wants to be playing to enhance his chances of making his country's squad for the European Championship on home soil next summer.
Germany's Bayer Leverkusen are the latest to make an enquiry, following Roma interest, but Liverpool are determined to hang onto the centre-half, who cost them £17m from Paris Saint-Germain two years ago.
Striker Daniel Sturridge, meanwhile, has confirmed he will soon return to the UK following successful hip injury rehabilitation in the US - and should be back in training next week.
Head of performance Glen Driscoll and head physio Chris Morgan have gone out to Boston to assess the England international.
Sturridge will fly back them over the weekend to step up his comeback — with that date against Manchester United on September 12 already pencilled in for his first appearance of the season.
So Rodges cant use Lucas? Lucas would be ideal in those games, and don't give that he's not mobile, he's a quick passer and intelligent which IMO makes up for any lack of mobility.
