    Jordan Rossiter

Seems like he's now a first team player. Another Jordan
One or two will go out on loan. But Jordan Rossiter has moved up here to be in the first team changing and I see him staying here.
A bit strange, as I think there are certain youth players closer to being ready for that, but what do I know.

I agree but Rossiter has long being singled out as the next Scouse hero its fair to say.

A very good player, always 2-3 passes ahead before he receives.
Rossiter is the type who does nothing spectacular but looks comfortable at whatever level he plays, his game understanding and positioning is exceptional.

I'd rather we played Rossiter ahead of Lucas in any game this season.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

That's quite a big call. Surely you need to see him have a run of games in the first team before you'd pick him over Lucas? :

But that's the thing isn't it. If we don't give him a run of games we'll never know if he's good enough. Yeah we can send him out on loan but it's not the same as playing in our team in our system etc. I think we all get a bit frustrated when we see our promising youth loaned out never to be seen again. If they're good enough they're old enough so I hope to see him given a chance. Hopefully a few cameos when we've got the games in the bag & then start in cup matches.

Agreed. But a few cameos is quite different to starting any game ahead of Lucas.

We haven't been in a position to bring him on for a cameo so far in our 2 1-0 wins. Brendan sees them both in training & knows there strengths & weaknesses. If Lucas is showing signs that his legs are gone then it's time to move him on. The sudden demise of Stevie springs to mind even though Lucas is younger.

Fair enough. We obviously disagree. No idea how you can be so sure of Rossiter that you think he should start any game ahead of Lucas. That's quite definitive.

Lucas will always start ahead of Rossiter and Rossiter will be happy to come off the bench in EL games or start a dead rubber if we are lucky enough to have any!

Not seen a huge amount of Rossiter but I don't think he'll make it here. He did well against Boro last season though.

Still can't believe how underrated Lucas is. He might not be a great athlete or especially dynamic but he's a very intelligent player.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He's also super brave. Doesn't shirk out of a challenge. Probably one of the reasons he gets injured so often. So under-rated.

I think he has the potential and talent to make it but it'd be foolish to expect that he could step up right away.

Personally promoting him to first team squad and giving him very limited minutes is not the best thing for his development at this time.

Sending him to a decent Championship team on season long loan and having him play regular football would be.

Well he made his league debut tonight coming on for Lucas, he did nothing wrong which would have been incredibly easy given his age and that fact arsenal were on top. He kept it simple patrolling space, got his foot in but with care.

                              I think he struggled.

Got turned a few times, and people ran past him really easy. But, he played it safe when he was on the ball, and that was positive.

Can see why he was brought on, and he's obviously only a nipper, looks like he needs to grow into his Shirt
