We'll get knocked out of the League Cup by Carlisle the way we are playing. They will have a bit of fight and have nothing to lose by attacking us. If they do they'' certainly score.

Evil fixture list which is precisely why we needed to win today.

We have non-league games against Carlisle and Sion, so we should get two wins at least.

I believe the Palace game is a possible win, most likely draw. Those other 6 games we are most likely losing, and losing hard.

That's not really a representative sample

It isn't unreasonable in isolation for any team with new players to take time to truly gel. However in our case, Rodgers already exhausted that one last season and it is nobody else's fault than his we had to have such player turnover this summer too.

What makes it even less excusable of course has been the lack of convincing system or plan to our play. Today was a bit better, though the formation was completely changed to one that really is not the long term answer. We did have fewer square pegs in round holes than last week but that just shows how poorly we were setup before and the limitations of some of our squad.

Moreno had an excellent game, Sakho is our best centre back, and Ings should play more.

              Rodgers needs some wins. Badly.

Yep, next 7 league games. ****ing awful isnt it? The tough away games are hard enough to win at the best of times even with a fully fit squad, great form etc etc. But now we struggle to beat **** at home aswell, so it's not good!

We were in such a decent place after Arsenal, allbeit with not great performances but have completely blown it!

And his best chance of that is with a squad assembled by some-one else who has also recently been sacked.
                    Really?

Scored one or less in our last 10 games, that's why we are in trouble.

Today was excusable if we were starting the season like that. We were creative and unlucky. We could also have list, but in general as an early season game you can get away with a result like that with what was overall a decent performance.

That said, we've had all those barring Sturridge all season, why haven't we played 3412 earlier in the season? Rodgers is doing his usual of flipping from one formation to another and there is no wonder the team are all over the place.

I like Clyne, but he's not a wing back. He's a top RB. We need to get a manager in who picks a formation and signs players that suit it. Otherwise we will always be all over the place. Signing flexible players is just a cop out really.

Yup. The messing about with formations like we spent all preseason just mucking about is inexcusable. What actually was the plan for how we'd play this season?

Ah well, at least Joe Allen is back soon...

Confidence is completely shot in the side and actually with BR, he went into his shell today with the 3 at the back tactics.

There is some talent in the squad but mentally its just not right at all and 8 points from our first 6 games considering we took 7 of them from our first 3 games is poor, very poor.

Tough to see how things can be turned around at the moment.

                            He's hardly a journey man.

Tbh he wasn't at his best today but every player has poor games. That said he still got in good positions and could've had a couple of goals. He hardly stunk the place out as has been suggested.

He got on the ball and tried to make things happen. Wasn't his day today is all.

I didn't see the game today.

But a home game v Norwich is surely great opportunity to put in a performance and get a win.

A management change would throw fresh perspective on the squad and how we play. We have a better squad than the results and performances are showing. We are stuck in a rut in seems impossible to get out of just now, Rodgers seems tohave pretty much run out of ideas to the point we are back to playing his get out of jail formation from last season.

Tricky times ahead. We desperately need to start winning.

This is the single biggest reason I want him sacked. And it was totally predictable. We all knew he'd go back to 433 and we all knew it wouldn't work. It was obvious he'd have to change it again at some point.

I just don't get it. I can't think of a single 433 team that lack as much pace as we do when we line up. At Swansea he had Dyer & Sinclair out wide who had pace to burn. Why isn't he signing players with pace if that's what he wants? We'd have been better off spending £30m on Bolaise as opposed to Firmino if he wants to play 433.
