Loaning out the one specialist we have in that position seems somewhat silly too
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Firmino might have been a committee signing, a name to replace Sterling. But he just isn't a direct replacement. 4-3-3 with Sterling and Ibe on the flanks would have worked, but not with the crop of players. There is a far deeper problem than just Rodgers I think.
      Are we winning?

Tbf we played 433 last season with Sterling and it still didn't work. Raheem likes to play inside as opposed to wide. We have Ibe & Markovic on the books. He should've signed two other top wide men and rotated with them.

Sako who went to Palace on a free would've been an able back up possibly if we only had the cash for one top wide player. I wouldn't say that'd give us a great list of wingers, but if you want to play 433 you need pace and they have that at least.

The Reds have 23 shots on goal but just seven on target in the 1-1 draw at Anfield.

Not even the return of Daniel Sturridge could inspire Rodgers' men as them stumbled yet again.

They have scored just four goals in six games and today's result leaves them in thirteenth place in the Premier League, seven points off top spot.

Rodgers expressed his disappointment at not getting three points, highlighting the missed chances.

He said: "It is disappointing and frustrating not to get the three points. We didn't pass the ball well in the first half but second half we created more opportunities.

"We had chances to win the game but didn't take them. Our supporters were brilliant and sensed the shackles were lifted from the players after the opening goal.

"But you have got to be clinical and we didn't take those chances. In terms of numbers it's not so good but for me it's all about the performance and the performance was outstanding at times."

Apparently we're the only team in the league who haven't scored more than 1 in any game this season.

                      Did you add that "outstanding"?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                      Mine angry and defrauded young?

Just got back, felt we were better in patches. But still way off

Felt Moreno, sakho and Ings had good games. Thought Milner and can were very very poor.

He really is at the stage where in the modern media world he needs to pick his words better. A better performance but still not at the required level would be a better description.

Course Brendan, had you started the season like you did today maybe we'd be at the stage where it was clicking by now.

Also, did not hear any shouts of support for Rodgers. Walking too/from and in the ground. Everyone I heard speaking wants him gone.

Today was excusable if we were starting the season like that. We were creative and unlucky. We could also have list, but in general as an early season game you can get away with a result like that with what was overall a decent performance.

That said, we've had all those barring Sturridge all season, why haven't we played 3412 earlier in the season? Rodgers is doing his usual of flipping from one formation to another and there is no wonder the team are all over the place.

I like Clyne, but he's not a wing back. He's a top RB. We need to get a manager in who picks a formation and signs players that suit it. Otherwise we will always be all over the place. Signing flexible players is just a cop out really.
