Milner and Lucas playing together takes away ball control (creativity) from midfield. To prevent that you need Can in midfield, not a back 3.

Clyne doesn't work as a wingback. Ibe has to start even though he's a bit clueless himself. At least he is more attack minded.

Gomez in the back 3 will give us what Can does. The ability to stride out with confidence and, more importantly, ability. I'd be happy to see him start there.

Gomez is tailor made for the 3 at the back, confident in possession, breaks lines running with the ball, quick and athletic and also played as a FB so happy to defend his outside.

If we are playing a back 3, then fair enough I do agree he should be RCB ahead of Can. I just hate the 3 at the back to be honest. Only problem is Clyne, he certainly is no wing back.

You clearly didn't watch the United game then, where he had an absolute nightmare. Can't put too much pressure on these kids, a few bad games could destroy a youngsters confidence.

I like Gomez, but a talented 18 year old kid that has played 4 premier league games & whom you probably seen absolutely nothing of before he joined LFC...... is better than Skrtel? Hyperbole
