Recognise things aren't going as well as we like, but to be 3 points off 3rd (plus we need to make up some goal difference) having played Arsenal, Scum and Bluenoses away is not as bad a position as we could have imagined.

First half better than second. Don't like the long ball forward, but the fact that Coutinho and Sturridge had such a bad game I think a draw was as good as could have hoped.

On the plus side, I think that is the first game I've watched when I don't go into a massive panic when Sakho gets the ball at his feet. He looked relatively comfortable today!

Sakho looks clumsy but stats show he hardly ever gives a pass away.

And our season has been a frustrating one because had we shown up we'd be right near that top spot. We've followed on from last seasons poor form and it's only down to others being poor that we are still close.
      Forwards.......

I wouldn't have minded so much if he had signed a couple of wide forwards who turned out to be ****, at least it would have shown that he was thinking about that system. The signing of Firmino just doesn't fit with that system for me, particularly when he cost £30m and he could have signed a wide forward for that. (I'm not having a go at Firmino, I just don't see the reason why we signed him).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I thought it was a decent game in terms of excitement. Sakho was awesome and would be my choice for captain. When the new manager comes in, Milner should be stripped of the Vice captain, hes been pretty ****ing **** since coming on board, moments of greatness but he has at least two big mistakes in him each game and his pass completion rate has been dog**** last few games. Looking at that team .. thinking of a new manager .. who would be at the players I would say would be guaranteed starters ... Sakho, Sturridge, Coutinho the rest its a discussion

Rodgers has done decently to give us a base where a new manager can take advantage of the position. Rodgers will not.

As for your Sakho comments you must have only just started watching Liverpool live.

Alan Smith rolled out his usual uninformed rubbish that Sakho is uncomfortable on the ball, he may not be elegant but he's very good with the ball at his feet and his distribution is superb

Heard it within the first 10 minutes of the game and thought what a clueless idiot. BUT, this is a good thing. If teams listen to clueless idiots like him then Sakho will always be 'targeted' and we can take advantage of that situation.

Firmino regularly played as a wide forward for Hoffenheim and showed great work rate. Hasn't happened for him here yet but I think he will show his quality.

But whilst players likeCouts, Firmion, Lallana & Studge buzzing around Benteke sounds good, in reality it lacks the pace needed at the top level.

reckon we've played 69 games since Suarez left. We've scored 2 goals or more 25 times. 3 goals or more 7 times. Conceded 2 goals or more 20 times ; 21 clean sheets ; 17 failures to score. We've basically averaged 1.2 goals a game since then and conceded about the same. lower mid table stuff for more than a season.
                          Really?

Since Suarez has left it has truly shown up our weaknesses and the managers flaws. Suarez's impact on the entire team was massive.
